What are you doing here? Try hi(goodby)forum - you'd like it there better, I'm sure, especially since its head jerk spells almost as badly as you do.

        Background
Agassi, an ethnic Armenian & Assyrian, was born and raised in Las Vegas, and lives there when not on tour. His father, Emmanuel "Mike" Agassian, was a boxer for Iran in the 1948 and 1952 Olympics before emigrating to the U.S.

LoL hes both. A lot of armenians are. I got a lot of Assyrians in my family they are orthodox too, so mixing wasnt a real problem when both of our cultures lived in predominatly muslim countries such as turkey or Iran. So there you go.

I thought this whole section of the forums was for discussing famouse Armenians. Also, it's probably not fair to say he hasnt done anything for Armenians seeing as to how he donates allot of money over there. Thats something at least.

When has Agassi donated anything to Armenia?
Yeah SOAD are some real Armenians, they use their fame and name to raise awareness about issues like the genocide and contribute a lot of money and political support to Armenian organizations.

that ship has sailed why bother...ehhh...people will say anything; i have never heard of him doing anything for armenians, and you know doing it is NOT good enough either! when you're a celebrity you have to use your powers just like SOAD; i dont' really like their music all that much but i like them as young armenians because they make noise and they empower us, unlike these other so called famous "armenians" who deny/forget/ignore their heritage

                    Well, in Agassi's defence..

Songwriters are supposed to have opinions and causes. Tennis players, not as much.

Agassi has donated hundreds of thousands to youth groups in Armenia. You bashing Agassi is a perfect example how the lack of unity of Armenians will the be the deciding factor in their downfall. YOU NEVER SEE A JEW DO THIS TO ANOTHER JEW. they stand united and strong, as should we. He does contribute in the way he can best, with money, he doesnt need to make a huge deal of it, he is a tennis player and not a very contravercsial figure in society. Unity people! Unity! Until this is understood, the turks will win, the western society will laugh, and we will remain ever dependent on russia for everything, and a slave to their demographic policies. Wake up and smell reality people, we all have to help everyway we can, so do not tarnish another armenian because he or she doesnt contribute to our people just like you may choose to.
