Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

oh God, not another of these threads. Why do you love Muslims so much? You know what Kurds did during Genocide? They killed more Armenians than Turks did. They betrayed their Armenian neighbors and told the Turks where the Armenians were. They killed many of my relatives in Sasun. They massacred us why should we even look at them, why should we like them? They're just backward people now living in a impoverished region. Look if you want to find friends go to France, maybe you'll find some there. You're not going to find many people in Middle East who want to be friends with Christian Armenians. Why else was Muslim world funneling tons of money and mercenaries to Azerbaijan during Karabakh war?

The more they kill each other the better. Both are our enemies. Let them be. I'm glad the border won't be open or else now we would have Kurds coming in, we already have Persians in yerevan don't need kurds.

There are many very nice, educated, productive kurds living in Armenia. Many have even changed religions to christianity if it makes you clowns feel any better.

Re: Kurds are enemy or friend?

Kurdish people are very good people and have always been close to the Armenians. They have beautiful villages inside Armenia, such as Ria Taza, where they live together with Armenians, share common customs, get along together, and even intermarry.

Yes, I know first hand what Kurds did in the Armenian Genocide, I know very well the role they played, but I also know they were tricked and used by the Turks and then suffered a similar destiny that the Christians. I also know they also helped and saved Armenians by hiding them or adopting them, but saving them in either case. The Kurds have apologized for the crimes, and they have widely spoke about the Genocide, there are many Kurdish organizations which have recognized the Armenian Genocide and fought for the recognition of both Armenian and Kurdish Genocides by Turkey, even inside of Turkey. As an example, on April 24, 2009 the “Günlük” newspaper, the Kurds’ only in Turkey and printed in Turkish, featured a big headline that reads: “We remember, we grief,” in Armenian:

Now, of course there are stupid Kurds, as there are stupid people all around the world, that are chauvinists and ultra-nationalists and talk trash about Armenians and believe they are superior than anybody else, similar to that of the Turks. But I just don't listen to them, luckily they are not a majority, because I know first hand that there are many Kurds who consider Armenians as their friends, feel ashamed and deeply apologize for what their ancestors did to us.

Kurdish people are not our foes, I consider them my friends, but if you don't want to consider them our friends then do as you want. But don't come with hate arguments trying to support your hateful sentiments.

And historically and traditionally, the Kurds practice Yezidism, and a good number of Kurds in Armenia still have their historical religion but of course there are Muslim Kurds. Inform yourselves! But in the end, what the hell if they are Muslim? So because some guy is Muslim then he is immediately a bad person, or a terrorist, or a murder? Get that stupid thoughts out of your mind! It doesn't matter what religion some one practices, that has nothing to do with what kind of person he/she is.

Please inform yourselves about Armenian-Kurdish relationships before making any senseless statement, there are good websites about it.

-Kurdistan and Hayastan - Hand in Hand a good blog about Kurds in Armenia with plenty of good information.
-Kurds in Armenia a good article about the lives of Kurdish people in the villages or Aragatsotn and around Armenia.
-Kurdish recognition of the Armenian genocide the name speaks for itself

Look, Kurds killed Armenians not because they were tricked but because they were eager to loot, steal, rape, and kill Armenians, plain and simple. Stop trying to put them in a good light. I'm sure there those good Kurds like there are some Turks, that doesn't mean you should start going and embracing them and welcoming them to Armenia. THat is just childish.

Why is childish? Tell me. Why is 'childish' looking peace and unity instead of differences and hate? Don't you believe that hating, insulting is indeed "childish"?

I am not putting nobody under good light, I am just speaking the truth, based on my researches and on my personal experiences. Turks, Kurds, etc. can be good as anybody can be. Saying every Turk, every Kurd, etc. is a horrible person is something I find just stupid, saying "A good Turk is a dead Turk" is stupid. What about the good people who are Turkish? The fact you may not know one doesn't mean there are absolutely no good people.

Look, it's okay if you have your point of view, I respect it. I just say that I find senseless to hate and spreading that hate towards people, trying to find what separates us and what makes us different, when that only causes more wars and more hate. Why? I mean, there are very good people in the world, regardless of what ethnicity they are, but as well there are many stupid people, who sometimes outnumber the good ones, and other times they are a minority.

I just quote "Our real enemy is that which makes us enemies".

You got it right Ashot. There are some people here who are just plain ignorent or racist or both. Maybe in time they will learn that people are more alike then different. Different people mature at different stages in life and hopefully there is still some hope for guys like muckuch and mos.
