Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

At this moment, I wanted to tell you something; for a nationalist or patriotic person to hate another nation, that person's education is very important at primary school.

At Primary school, yes, many nations were shown us as enemies, but Armenians were not one of them; in fact, what I heard at school at that time was that Armenians attacked the Turks together with the French army, and this was the only sentence in books, which is not a lot nor is it enough to make a nation hate another one.

But I agree with your hatred in that you do not live in the lands your ancestors once lived, although I do not agree with the genocide claims.

    Take care everyone,
    Hexing
This sort of collective thinking of "nations" hating other "nations" and imposing rigid words to somehow speak for all people within that nation is the problem of all nationalisms. The heavy assumptions carried in such words are often what blur the issues, more than shedding light. It is ipso facto assumed that "nations" represent every individual within that sphere. Thereby to assert "make a nation hate another one" is illusory at best. What constitutes nations? Individual people. And do all individuals think alike? No they do not, unless you live in some Marxist dream of uniformity. Yet somehow, the point between where the individual is and where the nation begins is blurred by nationalisms and other collective creeds. So to assert that "this nation hates that nation" is at best an abuse of words, for it in no way reflects the entire diversity of thought of the individuals that comprise that given body.

Re: Will Armenia get Ararat back from Turkey?

      hey Yuro,

it is the Armenians 1 000 000 % Armenians but those stupid Turks are to greedy and selfish to give it back to the Armenians and don't want to admit this happened (genocide). But on the other hand, there government is still debating on if they should give it back. I totally agree with you that Ararat is an Armenian symbol and yet they think its theirs. hopefully one day I can become a lawyer and open a law suit on the and you will see how they will go nuts! they never talk about it because in there perspective it has been a lie story told on for over 70 years. Armenians should try harder because all the survivors and evidence will not last long enough to prove this happened.

There is more chance to get Ararat back becoming a soldier, not a lawyer. Actually, that is the only chance.

Our latest member, Silva, can only post from his kindergarden school, and he has to be in bed by 7pm. But shouldn't 5-year olds be dreaming of being a fireman, or an astronaut - dreaming of being a lawyer is a sad reflection on today's childhood aspirations.

And all the penwork on this forum can do is ressurect a thread that has been dead for 8 years and that was (in anonymouse's words) an "exercise in futility" when alive.

Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

Being a lawyer is not a sad effection, its a way of getting the land back. If we have soldiers, we could lose lives again and decrease our population even more. I dont want that to happen and them to take all the land again. Would you? I dont think so.
