Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

I assure you ace theres more to the aids epidemic then women not staying virgins until they are wed.

lets see it has to do with

    A) stupid xxxxs cant figure out that a condom is needed.
    B) People sleep around, and from what ive seen, at least where i live, its the guys who sleep around and spread things.

Blaming a whole epidemic on women who lost their virginity before marrage is the dumbest load of narrow minded bullxxxx ive ever heard, and i live around rednecks.

Talking about how a mans virginity isn't worth crap and no one cares if a man is a virgin ... hmmm could these be the standards put into place by A MALE DOMINATED WORLD?!?! You (Ace) act like this societal "norm" was created by NATURE! I can't believe anyone even gives a crap about what your prepubescent arse has to say. Children are meant to be seen NOT HEARD little boy. You blame ALL of society’s woes on the lack of female virginity?!? ARE YOU SERIOUS?? I suggest you think before you open your immature little mouth. Your ignorance is only trumped by your immaturity.

Ever realize if all Armenian women married only within their own country EVENTUALLY THERE WOULD BE MASSIVE INBREEDING? That is seriously disgusting. Haven't you ever heard of HYBRID VIGOR? Nature rewards hybridization and punishes those foolish enough to inbreed. Your religion teaches us that we were the product of incest ... that's also DISGUSTING ...

With ppl like you around Armenia doesn't need enemies. You and ppl you think like you will slowly destroy our culture with your antiquated ideals and male chauvinistic behaviors. NO WONDER ARMENIAN WOMEN MARRY OTARS ... RIGHT? Would YOU marry YOU and put up with YOUR GENIUS IDEAS?

Little boy grow up and until then just keep your little yapper sealed tight ...

Oh and to the commie above me get stuffed ... your ideologies have failed time and time again IN THE REAL WORLD despite your belief that it is some inherent human condition to gravitate towards some commie ideals.

"Those who are unable to see this fact, are either blinded by their dogmatic myopia, brainwashed by the bourgeois media or have low intelligence and a non existent critical thought."

Yeah right not nearly as blinded as you and your own Marxists views ...
You wrote all that up for no reason, because you completly missed my point. In no sentence in this thread, did I ever directly blame HIV, divorce, drop outs, drugs, or crime on the lack of abstinence. I'd tell you to read this thread again but I know by fact almost everytime I had to defend my views, I mentioned that. If you havent gotten it by now...just stop, you dont like me. Thats it.

And whats up with this "my religion?" MY religion teaches incest? You mean christianity teaches incest? Your bringing up the topic of inter-ethnical marriage between Armenians, and that something I'm even more against, but we'll talk about that some other time in another thread.

"With ppl like you around Armenia doesn't need enemies. You and ppl you think like you will slowly destroy our culture with your antiquated ideals and male chauvinistic behaviors. NO WONDER ARMENIAN WOMEN MARRY OTARS ... RIGHT? Would YOU marry YOU and put up with YOUR GENIUS IDEAS?"

All the woman in my family, all my Armenian friend-girls, from Armenia, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, everywhere, - agree with my view point. Are they being narrow-minded and bigoted when they say that their gonna only devote themselves to one man their entire lives because they think Armenian woman should be abstinant? Are they wrong about the way they feel too? Are they letting men push them around too much? I dunno, its up to you. I for one dont see any guys pushing them around, if anything...their some of the strongest woman I've met in my life. Thats all opionin though. Disregard that.

If a woman chooses to save her virginity for her husband, then it'll be her choice, but it no way means that a woman who doesn't is dirty or has no self respect.

Maybe we would have all understood your point of view had you chosen to phrase it correctly.

You also blame divorce because girls are not virgins. I think if you ever find a virgin girl to marry, she’d divorce you because of your narrow minded views. (Although if she has enough sense she wouldn’t even bother with you) There is more to a couples life than sex.

One last time...I never directly blamed any of that on that lack of abstinence. LET ME EXPLAIN THIS ONE LAST TIME, GET READY. THIS MAKES PERFECT SCENSE REGARDLESS OF UR OPIONIN. I SAID:

Usually, when I tell people I think our women should be abstinent. They go "thats a narrow minded and foolish bigoted idea thats taking our culture in the wrong direction." I got, "O, than what should we more like?"

In some way shape or form, they ALWAYS (even in this thread) end up describing a WESTERN SOCIETY. Pretty much, they think the economically blossomed, rich and powerful and democratic nations are the most PERFECT example for us to follow. Really?

Well...Western Society has alot of problems that Armenian society (EVEN CONSIDERING ITS CURRENT SOCIAL AND ECONOMICAL STATUS) DOES NOT HAVE (or atleast on that scale). LIKE: HIV, DRUGS, DIVORCE, and all that jazz.

According to the reasons as to why they have these problems, they blame it on "lack of education and poverty stricken areas." HAS YOUR xxxxx ASS EVER BEEN TO ARMENIA? THATS ALL THAT IT IS. WHY DONT WE HAVE THOSE PROBLEMS on the scale they do? Are we somehow MORE DISCIPLINED and RESPECTABLE? MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, we are.

Therefore, there is no reason as to why we should try to be more like western society IN ANY WAY, rather than our own ancestrial ways...it has proved to be a more stable society. And how were our ancestrial ways? YOU GUESSED IT, the woman were abstinant. By now, you must understand this point and if you dont...please...JUST PLEASE...dont bother writing up one of those pointless and arrogant essays like u just did and just go "xxxx u" ID APPRECIATE THAT ALOT MORE, you'd show just as much intelligence AND ID HAVE TO READ LESS.

If I said "should Armenian woman stay clean for marriage" that would imply that the ones that aren't virgins are dirty. Fortunetly for me, I didn't say that - for that exact same reason too. I know some girls who aren't virgins and I'd consider them "clean." I never implied that their dirty.

You must agree...its a very flattering word to call a woman...too bad we can't call all of them that.

First of all, learn how to speak to your elders, maybe when you show some maturity people will actually treat you equally.

I was born in Armenia, and maybe years ago Armenia was as you perceive it to be. But open your eyes, Last time I visited Armenia the people there were more westernized than those living in the Diaspora.

If anyone has misunderstood your point (which I much doubt) it's because your points are not very clear.

Your completly out of your mind if you think that. Our ancestrial culture and views are near untouched. The Armenians in the republic are the last of our ORIGINAL AND UNIQUE culture.

Once we start assimilating (let alone physically mixing) with the foreign nations we live in, you'll see how quickly the original Armenian ideaologies will become like the western nations - completly losing its uniqueness and truth.

The elders that I respect, appearently, would think your a very bad role model for the Armenian youth (or for me). They'd probably say somethin like "Mer myreri yev kerer serpootsune petka pashpanenk" or some xxxx like that. Respect your elders chrissy...
