I have said this before (other threads) and will say it again ... the question of this thread is backwards. It is NOT a matter of whether Armenians are White or European. The main question is: Are Europeans or Whites Armenian?

I'm sorry to bring this up again guys but im wondering why people don't see Armenians as Europeans ( especially Armenians ) Armenians are a mix of many tribes mostly from the balkhans and anatolia ( greeks not turks ! ) so I really don't understand how people can think we are not white ??? this is like a profound mysetry of life to me, could anybody please express their view on why we are white or not white, and please don't flame I would really wish to see opinions here .. thank's alot

Oh my brunette friend, it is hard to live in west as a middle eastern, isn't it? If you are not white how can you make racism against Turks? Two eastern nation hates? Dog eat dog?

Well, personally I am Albanian origin who live in Turkey. As an Albanian my homeland is in Europe (not ib Caucasia or else ) My ancestors are the founder nation of Roman Empire with Latins. But I don't feel myself as European or have an obsession as being European. I am from Balkans.

I'll admit that the common attitudes shared by the Armenians around here aren't very compatible for learning about the deeper roots of our heritage, but everyone is like that, especially if they no longer live in their ancestrial homelands, or if their ancestrial homelands have been ethnically cleansed.

The most we can do today is discover our Armenian roots for ourselves and not be disillusioned by the popular destructive movements of Armenians, such as the trip Armenians in Canada take every year to Ottawa where they cause chaos by wrecking the property of the Parliament Building like a bunch of animals, demanding recognition for the genocide... That's really gonna get us respectful answers...

when you talk about your ancestors i suppose that you mean the illyrians......and true there where some illyrians who became emperors of Rome, i think Aurelian and Diocletian where illyrians and there was some more that i can't recall. The turks made the albanians muslim during the 1800....the albanians had been catholics for over 1000 years but when the turks came the albanian (illyrian) culture was raped and replaced with something more fitting. Some tried to resist like the albanian national hero Skender-Beg. Strange that the albanians like turks and turkey at the same time as they worshipe skenderbeg wile he himslef hated turks more then everything else..

and ohh...the illyrians did not create the roman empire.......illyrians became emperors when the empire stood at it's peak...then when this guys came the empire became more decadent...(not meaning that the emperors was bad)

It interesting that almost everything you know about history is wrong.
1. Illyrians are the oldest nation of Europe. But I don't beg Europeans to admit Abanians as white. It is shameful for you. You don't necessarily have to be white to gain respect from stupid Europeans. Being Armenian from Caucasia and Middle East is respectful enough. Try to respect yourself first to give up your inferiority complexes.
2. Albanians did not become Muslim at 1800, we adopt Islam at 1400s. And we and also Bosnians are not converted to Islam by force. You have to be familiar with the social and economical background of Albanians and Bosnians at middle ages to understand this issue. If Ottomans forced us to become Muslim, why do they only force 2 nations and ignore all Greeks, Serbians, Romaniansi Bulgarians, Macedonians, etc. I can send you articles if you really want to learn more about this issue.
By the way, Albanian religion is Albanianism!
3. Yes, we are nationalist for both Turkey and Albania at the same time. Turkey is my homeland and I am proud of being Turkish. But Albanian is my ethnic background and I am proud of being Albanian, too. Turks, Albanians, Bosnians, Circassians, Kurds, Arabs, etc. established the Republic of Turkey together. It is not easy for you to understand since you focus only your ethnical background.

Denying your eastern roots is not the good way to discover your culture. You are one of the Christian nations of midlle east like many others. You are not Europeans. Come on Just grow up. Being inflecteed from European culture doesn't make you European. If so then Turks are also one of the most westernised nation in the region. Same for Russians, too. But none of them are Europeans.

Correcto mundo, he's the Albanian turk, who indeed was banned a while back. In a way it's good you know: we recycle our turks and recycling is important.
