You point is much more simple as: who is white? or who isn't the child of god? or when are people going to get over all this already... there are MUCH more urgent issues (per someome who said that when I said something about another ethical issue)

As much as I'd like a utopia where everyone is colorblind, I don't think that would happen unless everyone was actually blind...but then we would still discriminate with the other senses, hearing for one...

It's our nature to discriminate. On all levels. Unless we all become synthetic cyborgs...

yea you guys must be right Armenians are not white nor European so I guess wer BROWN and MIDDLE-EASTERNERS ! ...NOW IT MAKES SENSE TO ME ! ...my point is that if someone created a topic clamming Armenians are brown and middle-eastern the same people would be arguing that we're white and european

And to Anonymouse, it is all a matter of opinion, and taste... I guess if you feel like associating more with some elements of former models in this field, then you should go ahead and do so. I just wasn't sure if you were using the term Aryan out of specific choice until now.

All the Caucasians(misnomer obviously) are the same genetically, or very close.
Meaning those from the Caucasus. Many intermarriages between Armenians and
Azeris I've heard in the Soviet days, and Georgians, etc. I remember reading a story a while ago about a mixed Azeri female getting xxxx from her family just because she was a half-breed.
All the same xxxx. All cremated equally...

Hello? Not all Armenians lived in Soviet Armenia. We didn't all get to mix with modern day Georgians and Azeris, and I'm sure that the number of those who did isn't as significant of a number that you're trying to portray, without the use of any statistics whatsoever!

When will you learn that it isn't the common American public, and some Russian mobs who decide who is Caucasian and who is not? When will you see that it public perception does not equate into scientific evidence of anything?
It isn't the lacking of fair coloured skin or vice versa that decides who is Caucasian (meaning "white, and not "from Caucasus" by the way), hell, Pakistanis, and even many very dark complexioned peoples are included in this category. Arabs are surely included, and I might take back my former claim that Dravidian Indians aren't included either... I'm not even sure anymore. The fact is, there are more genes involved in the makeup of a Caucasoid than sheer skin colour! Skin colour is just the coating on top of the cake! Why do you think we assign the Chinese to a different category when a significant number of them are whiter than the general Caucasoid!

Hopefully Anahita too will see that skin colour is rarely the focal point of the distinctions in these categories.

We are Caucasian, not Negro, not Mongolian, Caucasian, and so are ethnic Russians, Britons, French, Germans, Iranians, Pakistanis, etc... End of story.

First, I think it's not smart to say or think that Armenians from Armenia are white because they "mingle" with white-skin Russians. First, this is wrong, not all Armenia-Armenians are white. I have friends from Armenia, some are white and some are dark. I also have friends not from Armenia, some are white and some are dark. Why? Because we're all different, but makes us one is that we are all Armenians.

Nor is it smart to say that Armenians who are brown are "Middle Easterners."

Judging "Armenianness" based on skin color is dumb, in my opinion.

Looking at my family and relatives, a large portion of my relatives are from Middle East countries, and our origin includes Turkey (including West Armenia), Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, etc.. My mother is from Lebanon my father was from Armenia. As far back as we can go my mother's side was on the "West side" and nothing to do with Russia or East Armenia. My father's side we don't know very much but his father (my grandfather) was also born in the Russian "East side".

My father was actually light brown and my mother is white. The relative's on my mother's side -- who again are from "brown Middle East" -- are white skin... some so white that you think they are red necks or English, etc. My mother's side we can go back to great-great grandparents, and if it's correct the family never "mingled" with outsiders.

Armenians are Armenians. White, brown, yellow, pink, purple, red, we're all Armenians.

Yeah, I like your statement, however, this all returns to the usage of the term "white"... It's definition varies based on who uses it, and depending on the context...

My idea of white would be the modern usage of the Caucasoid category, which as I formerly stated, can include even very dark skinned people into the category, although calling them white does seem to conflict with the general idea of what is "white".

But one thing's for sure, what makes us one is the fact that we're Armenian, not because of our skin colour or our general appearance.
