Re: A Modest Armenian House
hents et, viznere hastatsnelov man en galis, isk mi karg mardik vor hayastanits gaghaparutyun chunen avel pakas xosum en. um en pet et lav lav karuystnere yete joghovurde dram chuni vor oktevi yev ir orva normal hatse uti?
I was listening this Armenian program on the radio, there is an old man being interviewed.
It was sooooo unsettling, i cried. He says that he can only afford to buy bread. He has a friend who has a family in the US. They go shopping together and his shopping doesn't last long all he has to get is bread, while his friend can afford to buy everything, and he was saying one by one the things that the friend gets and he was saying in a way that you could tell he was craving for them like a child. To me Soviet was bad but at least the food was not a problem for the people.
