Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

As a matter of fact, its seems to be unltra-nationalist Armenians like you who are wishing for the destruction of Turkey, the only secular-civilized-western Muslim nation on earth. And then you cry on the Armenian genocide day. You folks here nothing but little wannabe Nazis.
I think that past actions by Turks pretty well demonstrated us how they feel towards Armenians in general so I believe we have the right to be vigilant.
As you seem to be showing us here, you are concerned by Nazis or those you perceive as being Nazis or even Islamic radicals for that matter. I understand and agree with your concerns. But at the same time you seem to be implying that Armenians should ignore the danger that surrounds them and we should simply forget. How is this equitable? Tell me, are you special?

Its Turkey that wants to self destruct by not coming to terms with its past,And if Israel was their true friend they wouldnt egg them on in this Genocide which is still continuing by way of denial.
(Btw dont insult my jewish-American friends by calling them kikes)

        Well, excuse me!

First, to address your questions, Turkey actively tried to wipe Armenians off the map in 1915, and since that time they have more than once attempted to invade the Republic of Armenia. And the diplomatic climate hasn't changed much since. I'm surprised how your flaming ignorance prevents you from seeing the tension between these two nations when there's a WHOLE HISTORY of violence behind it. To this day, people in Eastern Turkey hate everything Armenian and would advocate the destruction of Armenians in a heartbeat. And yet here you are preaching to us about your wild speculations of reconciliation. So here's food for thought; when Armenia reconciles with Turkey, Israel will reconcile with Iran.

Oh, and now suddenly I'm anti-Semitic? After all, I only spent months trying to defend your name against racist xxxxxxxs on this site. Just because I can't agree with you on your flippant remarks doesn't give you the right to call me "Hitler". And whether you're Jewish yourself or not, you don't reserve a special right to call other Jews that don't agree with you "kikes".

        What? No prayer this time?

          • Only armenians and turkish people can think safely on this problem.

            • People of Van, Erzurum, Kars and Bitlis(The ones that I know of) hates Armenians, it is not a racial hatred but it's because what had happened in history.

You wouldnt see same reaction people from other cities(may be trabzon a bit, artvin, or Mush etc)

Turkey right now only has problems regarding to the occupation of Karabag, other than that Turkey does not have preconditions. Even today the trade over 3rd parties is close to 200million$. If Turkey had this kind of intentions, basically Turkey wouldnt allow this trade, believe me we wont be affected by this. Turkey wants to improve relations, Turkey is for the stabilty of Caucusia, likewise Balkans and middleeast. Turkey does not pursue microlevel small strategies. Stabilty is alot important for us than anything else.

Somehow Armenians think Turkey threatens Armenia or has "intentions" over Armenia. I think this is abused by diasporan politicians to motivate average Armenian to support their organizations.

If you independently compare Turkish and Armenians you would find that average Turk is a lot open minded than average Armenian in terms of ethnic relations.

              • David I'm seriously doubting your intentions.. you've been throwing little insults in almost every single one of your posts towards the Armenians ever since you registered on this forum. Calling us anti-semitic is one. Making baseless claims such as "Armenian is threatening Turkey" while refusing to see the actual economic blockade Turkey has put on Armenia is another. Refusing to see the active role Israel and Jewish/American lobbying groups play on denying the genocide is another.. and much much more. That type of mentality is not welcome on this forum, I apologize. So go ahead, consider me anti semetic or whatever else you'd like to lable me as. In my opinion, you're as Anti-Armenian as a Turk who portest the Armenian genocide. So there, we should be even in your head.

I'm hoping you're still gonna pray for us though.

                • TurQ,

My point was that politically all Armenians and Turks cannot suddenly become one happy family in an instant, which is what David-X is trying to tell us. The reasons are very complex to be resolved so instantly.

Doesn't speak well for you now does it? You call Armenians "racist xxxxxxxs" just because they were providing evidence that you could not dispute, evidence that you know to be true. So what were you trying to prove?

I am trying to prove, dear sir, that I do NOT judge the arguments of people based on their race: Jewish, Armenian, or otherwise. And there have been plenty of Turkish and Kurdish racist xxxxxxxs that I've had the pleasure of disagreeing with, too. My point, however, is that David-X would do himself a favor to think twice before he accuses me of being bigoted.
