Have you ever heard of Pan-Turanism? Have you ever heard of the decline of the Ottoman Empire? Have you ever read about the Hamidian Massacres (turning Armenians into scapegoats for the Empires problems)... Tell me what books you have read on the subject, please...

If a Russian coin is found in the graves it is most probably Armenian graveyards(Especially the ones in KArs or Erzurum, Agri and Van), and If the zGrave yards have Ottoman coin and no Russian or Quran pages it is Turkish or Kurdish. This is how they distinguish

Tips for aspiring "genocide section" museum curators in Turkey:

Do you want your (anonymous and probably Armenian) recently dug-up skeleton to be displayed as that of a Turk murdered by an Armenian? Then read on - it's easy!
Go to the local flea-market, buy an old Ottoman-period Quran, cook it in an oven, crumble the resulting brittle leaves of paper into a pile of fragments. Say that they were found with the skeleton. Don't worry that it sounds impossible - Turks will believe anything that they are told. Then go to your local army base - ask for some sample bullets from the Ottoman period to be sent from Istanbul. Take these bullets - pull them apart so that they look like they have been fired. Say that they were found beside the skeleton, proving that the person was murdered. Don't worry that the bullets obviously look unfired and still have bits of their cartridges attached - Turks will believe anything that they are told.

The slaughter of Turks and Kurds occured before the Russian/Tashnak occupation of Van, there were almost no sizeable Army to counter the Russians and Fedayins, actually the Army was in disarray after the Sarikamis disaster and the remnants of the army was escaping from the invading Russians in spring of 1915. The villages and towns that has muslims either evacuated before the occupation, or wiped off by the invading armies of Russians and Fedayins. In order to further fuel the ethnc tensions, the Russians were giving the control of towns and villages to Fedayins, and Fedayins were killing civilians.
To be exact those massacres occured right before 14th of April or right after that date.

The same happened by late fall of 1914 to the villages of Kars and Ardahan, which was done by the 5 troops established by the Russians from fedayins lead by Antranik Ozanyan, Antranik has been ordained as a Russian general to lead those Troops.

Can you explain to me their exact process of distingishing between civilians and soldiers?

Armenians defending what was left of the Van community killed a good number of Turkish aggressors... how do we know those aren't the bodies?

I dont say all of them are using Russian coins, but if Russian coins found thats an indication of those people are being Armenian(especially in Kars), this is what locals tell, and the location is also another indicator, and some of those massgraves are found by the information provided by locals.

Bell what the Armenians suffer is not a mystery(at least to me), I have first hand information from my friends from siirt, bitlis, kayseri, bingol. I also have friends from Van and Ardahan(Akcam fellow is also from Ardahan he should also have something to tell us what has happened in Ardahan), their knowledge of what had happened to Turks and Kurds of those areas is also not a mystery.

BTW - a very interesting Venuzelan gentlemen by the name of Raphale Nogales was commanding the Turkish artillery shelling Van...he wrote a book where he described this and various other actions taken against Armenians and things he saw - among other things...it is called "Four Years Beneath the Crescent" ever heard of it or him? Well he describes in great detail the atrocities and the duplicity of the Turks surrounding and beseiging Van and also describes just how many (non igsignificant amount of) soldiers and artillery and such the Turks were using to turn the city into rubble and kill everyone in it. Likewise he describes that the Turks had so many extra men that a goodly portion of them could be dispatched to all the surouding villages where the rounded up and killed all the Armenains they found...those (women, children and old people) not killed they hearded into Van to additionally burden the Armenians beseiged there....you ought to get out and read a bit more TurQ...relying on Turkish tourist brochures to tell you about what happened in Anatolia in the past is really beginning to show...

And what if they had authentic Roman coins on them? (would they then be Italian?) I certainly have been offered enough of these in Turkey along with about anything else similar you might imagine...
