Just as a reminder, Turkey got its independence after a war against great forces of that time (post WW-1), and with very very limited resources and against armies in magnitudes of the Turkish army (if you except the men of a country that are able to hold a gun as an army). I wish somebody had translated Turkish Poet Nazim Hikmet's long poem about the independence war and I could post it here. A poem full of ordinary people's resistance for their land. Turks, Kurds and all others altogether. The victory with poor resources, tens against thousands does not make Turks or Kurds more clever, it was more of a war for glory of independence against imperialist powers, an honorable act, but that's all.

I thought the Great Powers just let ataturk to be, he was a clever liar who convinced Europeans that he going to civilize turks and made them some thing like Europeans, and on other hand he convinced Lenin that he going to build Bolshevik state in turkey... so they have let him be... Do you really think turks could have won that war?

I didn't see Vahe's post, but I saw it in May's quote of his post. If Vahe said that, then he should be severely reprimanded and should have his membership suspended. If a Turk said something like Mesrop Mashtots was an ape, that would be the end of his/her forum privileges, wouldn't it? So, we should apply equal justice. Also, we are all finally having good conversations here, and I hope it doesn't get destroyed because of stupid and offensive comments.

Vahe, why did you have to say something like that? Never mind, don't try to justify it. Just please immediately offer a sincere apology, and even then you should still be banned for a few days, but then you should be allowed back again if you offer a sincere apology. That's my recommendation.
