Why do you still continue even the website you give as reference is informing the Armenia's destruction to Ani?

As for ATATURK, his revolutions paved the way for Armenians-Greeks-Assyrians that is non-muslim communities to thrive in Turkey, despite the ill treatment by Ottomans during the Empire's decay stage. SECULARITY was established by Ataturk in the "democratic republic of Turkey", as well as the abolition of caliphacy.

When radical Islamists quote hate on Ataurk, that is understandable. But for Armenian people to ill-quote him is, .....plain STUPIDITY and mis-information.

You might want to focus on Enver Pasha first and foremost, but Ataturk had nothing much to do with Armenians. Actually, you would do well to learn that he is a Thessaloniki born Greco-Turk.

Ataturk was a key figure in the final extermination of all Armenians from Anatolian Turkey. I am not referring here to the 1915 Genocide - by the time he arrived in Bitlis that region's Armenian population were merely bones whitening on the hillsides. But during the 1920s and 30s the Turkish state actively worked to remove all remaining Armenians who had survived the genocide and still lived in Anatolia. Throughout that period, trains daily arrived at the Syrian border crammed full of Armenian families who had been forced out of their homes in Kayseri, Sivas, Malatya, and so on. This was a planned continuation of the wartime Genocide, even though it was now a "white" genocide rather than a "red" one.

Unfortunately I think you do not yet know the true enormity of the crimes that your nation has committed against others. Either you will take the easy route and chose not to know, or, I hope, have the courage to do a little digging and free yourself from the past by knowing about it.

So, instead of using Ani to support your current stereotypes about how Turks are barbars,etc. we must do what can we do to make Ani better. You can critisize the restoration, I know that some Turkish academics also critisize it and say that restoration is not conducting very professionally. But don't make the "Look at Turks, how bad they are!" Critisize honestly, don't exaggarate it to attack Turks.
We can do a lot of things to rescue Ani.
Also, maybe Ani can be proclaimed a land which belongs to both Turkey and Armenia.
A lot of things can be done if you really care Ani instead of using it to struggle with your identity problems.

Ani's problems stem entirely from your nation's identity problems. In it's current mentality Turkey can do nothing to "rescue" Ani - it would be like asking a Muslim or Christian fanatic to guarantee women's rights.

As for the quarry - do you think Armenia would be in the corrupt, dog-eat-dog state it is in if it weren't because of what Turkey has done to it in the past, and is still doing to it.

And at 1920's only about 150.000 Armenians was left at Anatolia and that population remained same since 1950's. I had an Armenian friend at my office from Malatya (eastern anatolia) and their family did not live any bad things at Ataturk era and he really love him. The only struggle between Armenians and Turks at 1920's was a short and small scale clash at Turkey-Armenia border. And only some hundreds of soldiers dead from each side.
So I really don't understand why you blame Ataturk.

In the 20's about 200,000 Armenians remained there... and your friend stories, after all the lies you've said, you don;t expect that we take you seriously, are you? Ataturks compagnon of arm served with Halil in the Eastern zone, butchering defensless Armenians, butchering the remainings, whom the majority were orphans having witnessed their parents death. Ataturk Turkey was a criminal state, Ataturk was a dictator, a butcher, a psychopath. The fact that you and your fellows consider him as a national god and the "father" of the Turks says a lot of the disturbed Turkish collective psychi. I know eldery Armenians that have been kicked out by Ataturks government, their properties distributed to Muslim refugies. Their papers giving them right to those properties taken away, burned, and their faces added to the list of those not having the right to live in "Turkey" anymore. I know many remembering Ataturks politics and behavours, like hanging hundreds on the streets... beating people on the street... Ataturks special police unite going home to home like the Gestapo.
