What you mean to say is that Armenians should have known that the Turks will turn into Borgs in a second and go Jihad/medieval on to the closest Armenian within reach be it elderly, kid, sick, women or infant.

It was a policy of some Armenian activists to encourage and incite events that would provoke the Turks to respond with massacres and oppression, and this was done in the hope that those massacres would provoke European outrage at the policies and practices of the Turks and then pressure the Turks to make reforms. And also to provoke the passive majority of Armenians into become more demanding and resistive. So it was not a case of "they should have known" it was a case of them knowing before the event what the probable response would be, and counting on that response happening.

True, though saying outright that Artashes is a moron is a banning offense according to siggie. But Artashes, and others, can get away with always accusing anyone who disagrees with them of being a "Turk" - even though those Turks who do the equvalent, like for example saying that everyone at Istanbul's Gesi Park protests were "Armenians", would be rightly condemned.

I think it is a strategy that has been adopted by many groups in many countries - both in the 19th-century and today.

I don't have any specialist books to hand to quote examples about Armenia from, but in Lynch's "Armenia", when he visits Mush just before the 1895-96 massacres, he mentions the capture of an Armenian revolutionary named Damadean. Lynch isn't against his wider aims, but is against his methods: "they produce disturbance rather than wholesome change", and Lynch says "The object of these men is to keep the Armenian cause alive by lighting a flame here and there and shouting 'Fire'! The cry is taken up in the European press and when people run to look there are sure to be some Turkish officials drawn into the trap and committing abominations".

If you read all the posts of lampron above, you first see how he tries to show the turc (murderer) as having done something right and the Armenian at fault for .....
The main point is not to acknowledge the heinous crimes committed by his kind but throw blame on the Armenians.
Again, this is classic twisting of the truth to show the victim was at fault (for something or anything) and the perpretraitor was not responsible for their actions.
Now, in the emmediate preceding posts, you see bell come into play and lampron and bell support one another's claims.
Now refer to the Monte Melkonian thread to see the identicle "tag team" act take place.
If you follow virtually all of bells or lamprons (others too) posts , you see a disrupting of the effect of virtually every thread.
This is a sly however feeble road game that seems to get traction on this forum. It is run over and over again.
And it seems when the members complain, well look at all the missing members who used to be highly active.
Where are they?
Anybody think Siamanto wasn't intelligent?
Anybody think bells agitating can be construed as intelligent (other than his tag team buddies)?
From thread to thread for how many years???
Not obvious ? Or blatantly so? Is that a tough one to answer? Or is that one to be answered with (a) silence by... And (b) vitriol by the conniving.
Londontsi's post cracked me up when he said : there were 7 of us, now there is 6. 5 more and the last Armenian will have to talk to himself.

No it was not
Armenians stayed the most loyal of all others in Ottoman times but Turks had their own solution for that fifth colum. Turks killed those innicent Armenians because their Turkishness was insulted.
I hope Turks are happy with their Kurds that thy brought down from the mountains to kill Armenians.

Armenians stayed the most loyal of all others in Ottoman times but Turks had their own solution for that fifth colum. Turks killed those innicent Armenians because their Turkishness was insulted.
I hope Turks are happy with their Kurds that thy brought down from the mountains to kill Armenians.

Heh anytime someone lectures Armenians about "slave mentality" it turns my stomach. We are bad if we accept the Turkish rulers and we are bad if we rebel against it. People like Bell and others will always make up crrapp to put us down regardless of what the facts are. Armenians have made many mistakes before but i hope we have learned from them.
