Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Independence had been bitterly opposed by the pieds-noirs and many members of the French military, and the anti-independence Organisation de l'armée secrète (OAS) started a campaign of open rebellion against the French government, declaring its military to be an "occupying power" [1]. A "scorched earth" policy was declared by the OAS, to deny French-built development to the future FLN government. This policy climaxed June 7, 1962 as the OAS Delta Commando burned Algiers' Library, with its 60,000 volumes, and blew up Oran's town hall, the municipal library, and four schools. In addition the OAS was pursuing a terror-bombing campaign that in May 1962 was killing an estimated 10 to 15 people in Oran daily.[2]
i find it sick that an armenian (who would have been called "sale arménien" not so long ago or even "bicot", speaking from my own and my father's experience) would associate with colonial france.
true, no nation is perfect. there are quite a few bastards in our ranks as well.

This is not good for anyone...as I stated on another site...more or less:

My reply was in to someone's comment on Azerbijan...that the muslims have
        enough land...ha!

They have alot of Africa...Egypt, Turkey..(yes they are Muslims first.....),
Qatar, Saudi Arabia (a big chunk of land!), Morocco, Algers, Sudan, Azerbaijan,
and they are still not satisfied...That is why they are building mosques all over
        Europe.

And make no mistake, they would love to build a mosque in Yerevan.

I am not anti Muslim...I merely state their actions speak louder than words...

It is something the politicians do not want to address...they are gaining
population ratio...this is how it was many centuries ago...

You'd think they'd get upset when people draw George Bush.

Berlusconi like Gaddafi is as I'm sure you know something of a ladies man and the Latins seem to think that he's some kind of national hero.

The Libyan economy is highly dependent upon the country oil revenues. Which accounts for 95% of it's export earnings or about one-quarter of GDP. Libya also imports about 75% of its food and is increasingly reliant upon the desalinization of fresh water, presumably due to desertification.

The Arabian gulf states source much of their food from places like Sudan and naval forces aren't amassed off the horn of Africa merely to combat piracy in Somalia, but rather to protect the flow of trade.

The Russia's and Ukraine's recent drought related crop failure follows, on Australia's only a few years ago and global food secuity is now under strain. Armenia needs to lobby the EU for agricultural development grants and plant far more wheat with view to becoming a net exporter of cereals. The larger EU agricultural firms are very efficient producers and I suppose Armenia could offer some of these foreign firms cheap leases and tax breaks in order to attract investment in the sector.

Armenia has 2.1 million hectares of agricultural land, 72% of the country's land area. Most of this, however, are mountain pastures, and cultivable land is 480,000 hectares (452,900 hectares arable land, 27,300 hectares in orchards and vineyards), or 16% of the country's area. In 2006, 46% of the work force was employed in agriculture (up from 26% in 1991), and agriculture contributed 21% of the country's GDP. In 1991 Armenia imported about 65 percent of its food.

As for Africa, you only have to look at the demographics of countries like Ethiopia. Which had a massive famine back in the 80's and now has a population of over 90 million people. To realise that things are going to end very badly for that crowd. Since in African women are forced by their men into having children, that they neither want or can support.

Africa is a catastrophe and a ticking bomb. I don't understand how these people think. Do they think they're doing good by having so many children?
Anyway, I think Armenia has enough problems than to bring in blacks or immigrants or whatever, it will only create more problems. Who says Armenia can support a large population anyway? can Armenia sustain more than 10 million people? I don't see it.

Sorry sir, it remains to be the best system which has spurred man's ingenuity and industriousness the most advancing the industrial and technological revolutions and raising standard of living by leaps and bounds.

I wouldn't confuse fascism, crony-capitalism, corporatism, with "capitalism" understood in its strictest sense.
Unfortunately capitalism only exists as (fascism, crony-capitalism, corporatism..). It also prevents any other type of government from succeeding because of its competative nature. Should another country with another system do anything better, well then we will bomb it. Capitalism values capital-not people- thus it cannot in any form be good for people.
