Yes, these discussions are inevitable. It'll go back and forth until posts are deleted or the thread is closed.

Siggie brought up some good points and yerazhishda... well, he aruged back. It's not like we're going to prove God is real in this thread and give the cake to yerazhishda.

People can vote... that's what you apparently want right? Not a discussion, just a vote. The vote is private so it doesn't say who selected what... I don't see why anyone would be discouraged. They can click an option and never post in the thread.

Let me tell you my friend what the problem with religion is. It not only fills the void that is the question "why are we here?", it is laziness. That question may not have a definite answer like we want. But there are many question that we can answer, that only takes an open mind to understand, that takes a desire to want to understand. Religion closes these doors, with pre-determined "answers", which are not answers at all but a trust in the religion for an explanation without any question. They take care of all these important questions, you need not think about it.

Christianity may have been based of something pure, but it's become nothing more than a tool to bring people together under one authority, one set of believes. It's become human, and to see this as something that is beyond human is something that will close so many doors for you. There may have been something there, and perhaps there always will be...but its been ruined by the hand of man.
