I know dub you "Guy Ritchie!"

Idk, do a guy who does something really trivial, like take a piece of candy from a kid, or steal a hot dog from a hot dog stand, and then some cops begin to chase him throughout the streets, and the guy is scared sh**less but in the end he amazed to find out that they pass him and go for someone else

*where do you go to film school?

Nice, now all I have to do is find some willing cops... or police uniforms. Which works well because Halloween is around the corner. No!

Idk, my good ideas don't hit around till 5am but i'll keep trying. How bout. guy meets girl at club, flirts with her, but she has to go. He realizes he wants her # and so he follows her out, but she gets in a cab, which he follows, by another cab, or on foot. Then when he' finally caught up with her, he see's her walk into a lesbian bar

The film can't be "artsy" so no "chasing yourself" or "chasing your soul" and so on.

Of course we never get to see the subject but if done well, I think this would be kinda cool and at the same time paradoxical and sh!t.

What if it's like a paparazzi thing?

Btw, wasn't #2 like a Michael Jackson video? Can't remember which.

Can it be a photographer chasing a sunset or is that artsy too? Trying to get a good shot maybe? So you can have the person in silhouette trying spot after spot to capture the shot before the sun sets and it's gone. Ends with just making it in the nick of time... or getting to the perfect spot w/ clear spot only to catch the last bit of sun sinking under the horizon.

                Re: My Brain Gives Up

A person can't chase something that's not physical (i.e. a sunset, an idea).

We saw some more examples today and one film used a lot of dialogue. I guess I can do my rape film but I don't know...

How is the sunset not physical? It's the sun...

It can't be too complex. They want it to be a person chasing after another person. Or a car going after another car. They don't want experimental films in this class and that would be "experimental."

b/c it's like trying to get to the end of the rainbow, you just can't. So like the link to the vid I posted earlier, while being an awesome video that involves running/chasing, it was after something intangible or unattainable i.e. sunset, an idea...
