Well, I'm still starting out. I'm not a professional and American Spirit was my first completed short film.

I'm glad my professor enjoyed it along with my family and friends. Who would have thought, both Siggie and Anonymouse would like my first film?

          Re: American Spirit

Guy ritchie is my favourite director.... The man is a genius (Snatch and lock stock wowowow)

Anyways, How about a comedy? A dog chasing its tail? lol or something with a messed up twist "Like you witnesses a murder and have an intense chase with the guy (whose face you never see till the end) and when you finnally get to him his face is revealed, and it was you who did it all along"

I know thats on the artsy side but it would be crazy as hell.

everything after 2:09 is quite possibley the most intense chase scene I have ever seen.... for the full effect though you should watch the whole video.

I've already filmed and screened the film discussed in this thread.

I liked the film too, simple concepts that put a smile on your face. Reminds me of my film class when I had to work with the same miniDV films and all, I believe 3 years ago. I wasn't that good compared to the others but I used it as an opportunity to experiment with my wacky ideas. My final video was my favorite production, unfortunately when I brought it home, it got stuck in the vcr and I could not even show my family! It's still there...

Your video made me feel like wanting to shoot my own ones again, thanks. I might take a film course again now :P

Cool, I'd like to see your film although it looks like it's gone forever.

I need to start planning my final film for this class. It can be anything we'd like, short film or documentary, as long as it's 6 minutes or less.

I'm thinking of finally building my own dolly, too.
