you prove it, by telling them what happened, and they will look at the bodies position, and try to prove if your story is right, by the way the person fell, and what direction etc, from the front, side, back etc. It might even be a murder, so they have to prove it was in self defense by all the facts. There are investigations etc . There are people who do this for a job, dont tell me you didnt know this ?
