The bible says God exists and God wrote the bible therefore we have a cycle that reinforces itself into a truth.

You don't need fancy shmancy theory and logic to see that is just fundamentally flawed. All the rest of the discussions just go around and around and around this basic premise. So I think the truly intelligent are the ones that can break complicated looking statements into their fundamental components as opposed to getting confused with the complexity of n-dimensional facets that just rise from combining too many things into a statement.
Who says "God wrote the Bible"? I guess it can depend on what you mean by "write".

Sip says "God wrote the bible".... The word of God wasn't written by God, it was written by witnesses.

and you might claim 4D does not exist.
but it being an illusion or not is not a decidable problem for you. you may believe it is. you may as well believe it is not.
Thank you for distilling it down to the level that even a psych phd should be able to understand.
If that's what you meant, then you were being deliberately obtuse. You're also still not connecting it to any conclusion.

So, what? We can't grasp god because we're in a different realm or something? Is that what you're trying to say?

And you two... Now you're just looking for nit-picky things to criticize because you have nothing more substantive to say.
Obviously, he's oversimplified the claim that the bible is the inspired word of god. It doesn't even change his argument in the least.
It's still circular logic that we'd never accept in other circumstances.

God never wrote a bible or torah or Koran or the Greek Mythology or The story of Buddha, these were all created by the hands and minds of Men. Mankind has success in everything they have ever tried, they have never been able to leave a question unanswered.. or even unasked. But there is a limit to our "greatness" For what we do not know and can not do, must be better than us by our logic as a species. For this, we created the super beings, those who are Man, but beyond, one who's glory we can Piggy back off because they are perfect in every way that we are not. To be created in the image of Perfect beings, to be in constant dialogue and interaction with said beings, only feeds the ego of the Humans More and more. soon their short comings aren't their own fault, but it is an act of the perfect super beings, in a way to separate the humans from them. The human brain is an incredible machine, so incredible that it can lie to itself as to what "reality" is in order to protect itself. Ever seen people put through terrible psychological ordeals? in a similar fashion we bend reality and fill in the unknown gaps with things that seem comforting and that are an extension of US humans, so that we can feel powerful even in areas where we are powerless, "we are Like god and therefore if gods are powerful we are not alone or weak, they are with us because we believe, God/s are on our side therefore we are all powerful!" now you can sit here and argue with me, and tell me God is real and all this stuff. But God don't have to be false, for our faith to be selfish, for it to be a response of the ego. Religions all too conveniently put mankind on the spot light and put us up as the rulers of earth after god/s ect. It is to similar to a extreme of a self idolizing fantasy to real to me.

The hell you say. Scriptures are the inspired writings of man. God is the almighty creator of the universe; there are no bounds or limits to God's intelligence.

Of course they do. They created God in their image.

So are you saying the scriptures are more or less accurate, convincing, etc because they were inspired writings of men?

And on what basis do you draw these conclusions?

              1) God is almighty
              2) God created the universe.
              3) God has intelligence.
              3a) God's intelligence is limitless

I've just noticed your latest rather dicipline-obsessed signature. If there are no bounds or limits to God's intelligence, watch out you don't get the wrong side of the Heaven coin and get an eternity of being "diciplined" in Hell.

It's probably not too far of a descent from the life I live now

Exactly one of my points. Religion, and the many other abstractions of humanity are mainly based off of the selfish, egotistical and pompous reasoning that is prevalent in humanity.
