Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Baron, all of your qualms about America that drive you to say you hate it are about the governments foreign policy. That is like someone saying he hates a particular hamburger restaurant because one of the items on the menu has mayonaise in it and he hates mayonaise.
But that's the thing, the idea of America itself is everlastingly tied to its political core, namely the State, so that whatever way the State acts, it does so in concert with the masses. Think of it this way, millions voted for a president, who bombs innocent women and children, do you think if I were a Muslim in Iraq, I would only hate the political lapdogs in Washington, or would I also extend this hatred to the apathetic Americans who endorse and tolerate this?

I do not hate the fact that I have alot of opportunities here, but I do hate the fact that the State and the political lapdogs give the rest of us a bad name. I also recognize the fact that it was forces outside of politics that have caused the prosperity and opportunity America experiences, so then I may hate the government freely without really hating the opportunities and liberties of America. Anyone else who is familiar with the Federalists and Anti-Federalist debates knows this too.

That's the major thing I hate about America.

I dislike the way of life (which is almost the same as it is in Canada), but I don't care about that enough to hate it. What do I care if they all weigh 4000 pounds?

        Who is that lacklustre individual.????

That's just plain ignorant and attention begging sentance. You should just jeer on this person(with your creative ,critical and analytical mind ),rather taking it seriously.

*That said, I think hating America is like the flavor of the week/month/year for certain too **cool** people. But then there are those of us out there who have at least two brain cells to rub together and we can see through all that bull.*(ckbejug very well said).
I'm a monstrous mass of vile, foul & corrupted matter.

What does that mean exactly? I think it speaks well for a nation that its poorest and least educated are fat instead of starving to death. I don't know anyone that weighs 4 THOUSAND pounds.

People hate America becuause the average american uses 4 times energy/resources than the average person on earth. Most geologist believe that we are at peak of the amount of oil thats being pumped out of the ground. Unless we find a cheap ulternate source of energy they are going to hate us even more

Oh it does? The majority are that stupid? People laugh or roll their eyes at stories like that, if you haven't noticed and it is because it is uncommon. And that goes for the lady in the couch. How many people honestly say, when reading that story, "Well I know what that's like," or, "My aunt did that too." I hear stupid stories like that all the time from other countries (AP Wire stories on local FM95.5 or the Fickle Finger of Fate stories on local FM101.1). If I judged all of those countries because a couple of people made the news for brainlessness, we would have no respectable countries.

Most geologists are idiots. When they say 'peak oil' it means that the oil that we get now, given the current technology, is growing scarce. There is always more oil in the sea beds, and places where our current technology cannot tap into.

That's not true. Norway, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg, Kuwait, United Arab Emerates, and Canada all use more electricity per capita.

Also by using this site: http://www.scaruffi.com/politics/oil.html
...you can see that Canada's per capita for oil is very similar to America which is only about twice per capita of countries like Germany, Japan, and France and is only about 30 percent more per capita compared to Saudi Arabia. And, using the world fact book, you can figure out population densities:

France: 110 people pre square kilometer of land
Germany: 234 people pre square kilometer of land
Japan: 340 people pre square kilometer of land
United Kingdom: 249 people pre square kilometer of land

United States: 32 people pre square kilometer of land

More density means overall better public transportation.
