Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

at least don't give it to people as an advice.
yes having friends and family is a good thing. but your happiness shouldn't in any way depend on them. listen now or you'll regret it later!
if you keep goin on like this...I know for a fact you're getting hurt soon.
    cheers
I haven't read anyone elses post's yet or responses in this thread but what you just said is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Probably one of the all time stupidest things I've ever heard a human being say. You're a REBEL and independant and happy, everyone leave this person alone.

Damn.... this always happens and it kills the thread and other potential "relevant" conversations pertaining to the thread.

Anyways, TO ANSWER THE TOPIC OF THE THREAD.....Life is generally a boring place, it's up to us to fill it up and make it interesting. Whether it's DEPENDING on your friends to do that or your INDEPENDENT and you keep busy yourself, you do whatever it takes to make life a place interesting enough for you to continue on with.

If you're used to going a certain pattern in life, switch it up and do something different so you have a challenge or interest to look forward to.

YOUR WORLD is not boring... you made your life interesting... that's the point; you make your life either the most boring or the most interesting stage of your being... I love life and also think that it's interesting, but there can be something, which is interesting for me, but it can be extrimely borring for you...

If life is a boring place, I suggest people stop complaining and go to the nearest gun shop. Purchase a gun. Purchase bullets. Load the bullets into the gun. Then point the gun into your mouth. While pointing it, carefully adjust your hand so that it is by the trigger with your finger ready to pull. Take one nice breath, pull the trigger, and life will be boring no longer. I hope this helps.

It is more than possible to find happiness with yourself, but it's my experience that a good woman can speed up productivity as well as build morale in a man. Can't pin point exactly why, but it tends to motivate people to work harder, so having a good companion is one key to sucess. Of course the opposite is true too, a bad woman can cause you to crumble. Gotta be picky.

I'm only going to say this once and this regards to many of the threads I see here, because all I see are stupid pointless arguments in many of the recent threads that always end up back at square one.

Everyone keeps harping on the remark one person said that isn't the first post in the thread and is kinda off topic and then the others response and then a counter response and on and on and on....... GET OVER IT. So many threads get their topics changed and either closed or killed off because of a result of who's got the smartest answer to one person's ignorance.

If you hadn't noticed, this isn't Patlajans thread. This is a spawn of that thread, a completely different thread directly regarding the point gaucho brought up about being dependant on others. Look at the topic. Perhaps you need to take another look at the first page of this topic. I'm sick of talking about baseless and meaningless things, it's about time something of substance came along, whether or not arguments are ensuing as a result is just one of the perks of talking about something that actually matters.

I just expressed my opinion... now about thread... I don't know if I understood the topic correct, but I think this is about what makes us happy, am I right? Ok, if so, I'm happy because I achieved something in my life, because I have great parents, I have goals, I have great friends (I think guaco, that this is one of the most important components of happy life... if you don't have friends, you are the worst person in the world... having friend doesn't mean that you are weak, sometimes silence of good friend can help you soooooooooooooooooooooo much... )... But I think that for complete happiness, you should love and be loved... this is what happiness for me...

Gaucho brought up a good point, but all remarks are being based ON HER POINT, not the point Patlajan had made which created the topic of this thread. It went onto people arguing and calling each other names and assuming they are stupid and on and on and so on and so forth. Yeesh!

No to be anal or anything, but just look at the "What's wrong with non pure Armenians" thread which has soooo many pointless conversations going on without pertaining to the actual thread. All I know is that I don't have the time to argue over something stupid (such as one person's remark which is not even relevant to the topic of the thread) on an Internet forum. I'd rather take things loosely, have a good time, and learn other peoples' points of view to understand their way of thinking (by observing them), rather than PUSH MY POINT endlessly. But then again... that's just me.

So for those who want to keep arguing on gaucho's point... I say.. have fun.

In regards to the quarterlife crises thingy, this is an interesting concept that Patlajan brought up, because it is a trend in young adults who have started their career. Like I said before, it's up to us to make life fun to avoid suffering from this crisis.
