Rebels are losing ground rapidly. In the West, Zuwarah (on the road to Tunisia) was quickly captured by Ghazafi. Brega seems to be going back and forth between both sides and Ajdabiya-based rebels are being bombarded. To note that Ajdabiya is the last stronghold before Benghazi, the de-facto rebel capital.

For Ghazafi to survive this, he needs to enter Benghazi before those idiots in NATO come up with their military intervention plan and then repair the damage using mediators and what not.

Intelligent? He's killing his own people, ordering bombings on civilian targets - on television he says ridiculous things about people loving him when there are people literally giving their lives up to take him out. He thinks he can bribe people to support him Whose side are you on anyway? Gadaffi is not intelligent, he's an idiot that has lost the right to govern the Libyan people.

For the rest, those are just allegations. It takes intelligence to successfully keep a country as divided as Libya together and to survive countless attempts by the West to eliminate you for 41 years. All these media falsifications are character assassinations. Ghazafi is no angel (neither are any of his critics) but he is not a schizophrenic maniac.
