Actually, this discussion is still open, if anyone wants to join in with people who actually know something about physics and aren't getting their information from popular expose books.

Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)
1] What you CAN NOT post.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene
You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)
The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!
2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.
This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.
3] Keep the focus.
Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.
4] Behave as you would in a public location.
This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.
5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.
Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.
6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.
Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.
7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.
- PLEASE READ -
Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.
8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)
If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Originally posted by SiamantoLOL Aren't you the one who used the word "genius" first? You're a bit funny!

Originally posted by SiamantoLOL Of course it does!
Back to your overconfident self?

Isn't taking apart posts just like the most totally played out bulletin board rebuttal style ever? I just did it merely to make fun of this wack style of response. I mean my post that you were quoting was how many post above your own? Just say what you're going to say I'm sure we're all smart enough to understand what you're referring to. Eww maybe I'm not
Just to keep it correct ... Einstein rules. Go team Einstein!
Check out the Evolution thread as I found out that it, evolution, is indeed factual (99.99999% for all you philosophers) it's the mechanisms, or how evolution actually occurs that is theoretical. Anyway it's a cool article check it out ... this ends my contribution to both threads
Flame away ... you know the dealie "I have asbestos undies blah blah blah built in fire extinguishers blah blah blah" more played out bulletin board stuff.

Many people it seems to me (and I don't mean only in this forum) fail to realize that at such levels of greatness, it is almost always more difficult to plagiarise (and do it well) as opposed to be original.
Also, as time has gone on, it is more and more the case that VERY rarely a single individual makes leaps and bounds in terms of break throughs ... especially not in theoretical domains. In applied sciences, sure. Someone can hit on something BIG that somehow "works" (either by design, by accident, or both). But in the theoretical realms, things come and go in waves and attributing huge things to single individuals (as much as it is in our nature to do so), doesn't really work.Last edited by Sip; 10-05-2005, 09:18 PM.this post = teh win.

Lamb boy (most recently) and others - I had posted a reminder about not insulting each other. Which it seems like no one read.
You didn't answer my question, so you must be an idiot! What's up with that? Can't we just point out flaws in reasoning or point to an unanswered question without calling each other names?
Once again, stop with the name calling. You can "defeat" each other with the information you post, not by name calling. Please don't do it again.[COLOR=#4b0082][B][SIZE=4][FONT=trebuchet ms]“If you think you can, or you can’t, you’re right.”

Stark ... only idiots are incapable of answering questions. I have posed two questions to you and you haven't answered either. The second question I really thought you'd be able to answer but now I suppose you either can't or won't. It seems you live up to your name that's for sure.
Stark = Instant expert ... add water.
And what was the point of posting the two Darwin links? Both of them illustrate that Darwin didn't plagiarize, credited direct sources and had rightful claim to the concepts as they are now perceived -- Darwinism. Plagiarizing is when one makes no referrence to the research one's conclusions are directly dependant upon. I accept that Hilbert and Einstein had formulated GTR independantly. Unfortunately, Einstein is still the associated name except for the Einstein-Hilbert action which should only be called the Hilbert action because he came up with it. And only his name is commonly associated with STR which is unfair and misleading because so much work was done before him, including all of the math involved. And the energy/mass/lightspeed forumla... well so often the birth of that formula is considered to be Einstein's 1905 paper because he didn't say that he was explaining De Pretto's formula. Many have made immense contributions to science yet he is held up to the light as the symbol of brilliance. Realistically, I don't think he was stupid. But when it comes to scientists, I also don't think he's as special as he's made out to be either.Last edited by Stark Evade; 10-06-2005, 12:41 PM.
