First of all, we share 99.4 % affinity with chimps, that doesn't mean we aren't different, so that argument is shot down. The amount of difference in that 1% makes all the difference.

Also it's interesting how you quietly dropped the previous argument of how two Africans are more different from each other than an African and some Asian.

As for what is asserted in this article I would say that more proof for such claims is needed before reaching conclusions. I see several areas where the paramaters are suspect and where there are perhaps some unknowns - so much concerning brain function still is unknown - gross size is but one characteristic (Womens brains are larger BTW - dumb male!) - the brain is made up of not only nurons but a grerater amount of another type of cell (gluon? I forgot the name) - and we still don't undersrtand fully the functions of these various cells and how th brain works etc. Additionally - again this study pre-diveded a small group of people (truly representative?) by "race" (assigned as such) - and I dispute the ability to accuratly do this just right off the bat. Additionally IQ tests are culturally biased and in fact we can't really define intelligence on any real kind of linear scale - their are components that differ between individuals and it is not possible to compare one to one - its all judgemental based on a cultural/value perspective. Aboriginal people are not necesarioy going to be so accomplished at solving mathmatical problems or dealing with things that having meaning to people in industrial societies (and vice versa - try taking an IQ test adminsitered by some tribal hunter-gatherer - if there could be such a thing - and I doubt you would score very highly) - also how to judge artistic ability that can be an aspect of intelligence - etc So I don't buy these types of studies on face value. And even for different people within the same society of different ethnicities and or social backgrounds - other factors besides biological come into play and it is very difficult to count these out with any degree of certainty...

Think for a second - use your brain a bit -all of those 100 billion + nuerons - in theory...the difference between 99.9% compatability (between human population groups) and 99.4% - when we are talking what - 3+ billion genetic sequences - well 99.4% of 3+ billion is a great number of differences - and much of the rest that is so exactly the same - well common ancestry you dolt!

I made the argument you really cannot and did not refute it ( I never said "more different" - I said pretty much just as different - and certainly unpredictably so - for the most part...that is different in a variety of ways - perhaps not as apparent but different none the less...though again what numbskull could ever consider a pygmy and a Bantu part of the same "race" - unless of course its the highly variabe human race we are talking about...) - so why repeat it over and over again eh? Just because you have no real arguments - such as in the Evolution thread - and feel the need to only repeat your straw man claims - well - I have no need to do such - I'm flaexible, adapatable as it were...

Obviously among this population exposed to the malaria virus - those with certain traits have tended to better survive passing on such traits so that they become more predominate in subsequant generations...quite blashemous of you to support such scientific THEORIES and principles eh?

Note the above has nothing at all to do with race - as white skinned folks would develop the same resistence in the same manner after generations of exposure...

A very good friend of mine's husband died of malaria BTW and she was in coma for weeks before recovering...both were doctors in Chad or Sudan or some such...(not well adapted to that environment eh?)
