TIME: Meanwhile, The View From Inside Iran
Parvin Heydari, an Iranian mother of two, was flipping back and forth between the nightly news and Oprah when a bulletin on an Iranian state channel caught her attention. It urged Iranians to boycott what it called "Zionist products," including those made by Pepsi, Nestlé and Calvin Klein, and warned that profits from such products "are converted into bullets piercing the chests of Lebanese and Palestinian children." As evidence, the voice-over intoned, "Pepsi stands for 'pay each penny to save Israel.'" Heydari says she changed the channel, as she has no intention of crossing Nestlé's Nesquik off her shopping list. "Lebanon has nothing to do with us," she says. "We should mind our own business and concentrate on policies that are good for our economy, and our kids."

Yeah. I've picked up on that. Also, a few days ago, Washington has no diplomatic relations with Syria. Now all of a sudden, there are 'channels' and Congoleeza is going to try to use use 'channels' to 'pursuade' Syria from supporting Hezbolah and distance itself from Iran.

The IDF claims they have killed "around 40" hezbollah fighters every time there is a firefight and they have casualties, if this is true why aren't we seeing hezbollah celebrate their martyrs, on the streets etc, as they usually do?

they are both wrong. in the mild version: israel is the big bully who will pull a gun if you insult israel. the big bully way overreacts because the bully was beaten as a child (and maybe had other motives). but there really are some who insult (that don't warrant this reaction) that is basic child psychology on a diplomatic level i suppose.

i am both armenian and xxxish. i don't agree with what israel is doing.

I am going to ask the posters to exhibit some restraint and discretion in what they post. Please let's stay cool, calm and rational here. There is no room for hot headed outbursts and insulting. Let's keep the thread flowing with a cordial discourse, and not emotional banter.

Thousands of communists protest against war in Israel:

Thousands march in Tel Aviv to protest Lebanon fighting, call on soldiers to refuse taking part in war. Clashes with passersby erupt during event, activists called 'traitors'
