Then there's the other women who have their hymens surgically recreated... Either way, the outcome is denial and lies. And that works fine for them because all anyone's interested in is a bloody bed sheet.
They are only lying to themselves just like women who get plastic surgery and "enhancements" done to their bodies.

"a woman who has sex inside a committed monogamous long-term relationship." - This is the definition of marriage.

A woman who believes this is acceptable prior to committing to a contract and later leaves the relationship has already shown to be incapable of being loyal, committed, faithful and does not take life seriously so why would a man sign a contract knowing a history of this belief and behaviour?

Wouldn't it be better for all to have education about sex and teach responsible practices, etc than to go on this way and have men go to the town wh0re or Russian prostitutes or whatever? Are the men not "dirty" in this scenario? Indiscriminate and reckless? They're going to go expose themselves to disease and then transmit it as a gift to their virgin bride on their wedding night? "Hey, baby... Wait til I show you the skills (and herpes) I picked up practicing with my favorite Russian prostitute " Give me a moment while I swoon at the romance and thoughtfulness.
You're assuming that the man who the woman was in a "monogamous" relationship with wasn't out performing the same acts A promiscuous woman can be with 10 men who were virgin while the woman who was in 1 or 2 relationships could have been with men who were dogs. See how it doesn't make a difference?

Well yeah, but that's neither here nor there...
        That wasn't the question...

Ugh. You focus on a couple nit-picky thing again and ignore the whole point. It's not even like a premise is false and that's what you're pointing out.
That's your definition and that's, again, not relevant to the point.

So, what if she had a long-term committed relationship, but they didn't sleep together? That's not breaking an agreement of "we're going to be together"?
I think being in long-term relationships actually gives people a more realistic understanding of what it means to be in a relationship and when they eventually wed, they'll have a less romanticized understanding of the work involved.
Realistic expectations are a very good thing. I think generally when people know what they're getting into when they make the decision to pursue it, they have better outcomes.

In a society with rigid "rules" for women only as you described, wouldn't lead to women doing this at the same rate as men.

But outside of this, yes, both sexes can be promiscuous. That's why it makes more sense to take a more case by case approach and look at the whole person instead of just making it "check this box if your hymen is intact."

This is a problematic way to tell a virgin anyway because not everyone has a hymen and not all hymens are broken with one instance of sex. So, there's a lovely error rate that will humiliate and break the heart of a girl who actually was a virgin and then claim another who wasn't was honorable.

What about my point that your sort of ideal society actually encourages more dishonesty?

You have a long term relationship with your parents and I'm pretty sure you didn't sleep with either of them..... there are reasons why cultures came up with these practices. By the way, what we discuss here doesn't really relate to our generations since we're fu@ked but rather hope some younger people can get some insight and form their own opinions.

Okay, twist things so you can avoid addressing my post. I also have a long-term "relationship" with my dentist, but I'm sure you knew that's not what I meant. Nice avoidance tactic.

It is OBVIOUS from the context that I was talking about romantic relationships. You have a "relationship" with everyone interact with otherwise... e.g. cashier, mailman, dentist, etc.
                  Still avoiding...

You seem to be stuck on this hymen thing.... I'm not sure why. Chastity has nothing to do with a woman's hymen. It's about a belief and code of conduct that was common practice in traditional societies.

You claim that "your" model encourages less dishonesty but there is nothing dishonest about a woman who intentionally attempts to seduce a man who she knows is married. She knows what she is doing and it's up to the man to turn down the offer. Why do the men still get blamed? It's up to the women to take out the trash in their society. However, since the modern woman blames the man for a practice that she herself admits is acceptable then the man is really in a lose-lose situation.
