I love this. You copy the definition straight out of the dictionary and declare that definition #4 is wrong and you feel it is something else? This is called changing the rules of the game as playing and I am pretty sure no serious person likes to play this way.

As far as degress of promiscuity, of course there are degrees of promiscuity. A girl having 3 boyfriends in college then marrying one for 64 years is very different than a mother of 3 who sleeps with 5 different men a year over 4 decades while being married.

I don't have too many rules but I tend not to change dictionary definitions. If you want to call that "my rules", then ok, that's my rules (I don't think it's unreasonable to ask that words mean what they are supposed to mean). Like when I am talking about promiscuous girls and one that has 3 boyfriends, I shouldn't have to elaborate that yes there is in fact sex going on in these relationships. But ok, in case it was unclear, yah she had sex with 3 different boyfriends in college. They may or may not have been interleaved relationships (wasn't necessarily monogamous).
