  • Virgin or Experienced?

So whats the eternal allure with virginity? How old were you when you lost your virginity and did you feel like crap? I hope you did, because I didn't. So how important is this? Most of the worlds religions seem to think it is important. Secular society doesn't care for the "wait till marriage" stuff, so what's the big deal? Why not devirginize everyone when they are, say, 8? I want some opinions, I want some thoughts dammit. This thread has started with some innocent virgin questions, and by the time it is closed by the moderators it needs to lose its virginity, so let's dig deep within

"Losing virginity" doesn't really apply to guys since most of them probably don't have a hymen.

Well, that is irrelevent, since even you were a virgin at some point.

Not this nonsense relativism again? It means someone who hasn't had sex.

Ok define "sex" ... I'm serious! We can't start discussing this unless we have a clear definition of what is virginity. In the case of a female, it's obvious: A "virgin" female has an intact hymen. What's the definition in case of a male?

Apparently you don't like definitions to mean what they mean. So because of that, they must mean something other than what their original intent is.

I shudder when that word is used for males.. :\

Anon, if by "sex" you mean straight sex (involving a vagina and a penis), then is a gay male who is sexually active his whole life a "virgin" when he dies?

What about a condom? What if the act doesn't end in "climax"? At what point is "virginity" crossed?
