Also, that's the modern definition of virginity. It doesn't reflect the traditional definitions of virginity.
Also, here's a definition of "virginity."
"The state of being pure, unsullied, or untouched."
The very fact that it's in the passive is significant. Unless of course you think of the vagina as the cover rather than the hole..
There is no "traditional" or "modern" definition of virginity. There is only one definition, and relativists need to stop redefining words to suit their actions. Stop using virginity in "". You make it sound like no one has been a virgin.
So, since there is "one" definition of virginity, care to prove that it's absolute? I always thought language was created by men, defined by men, changed by men....
Words are but ideas compacted, and express only a small fraction of an infinite idea. There are infinite ideas, but only finite words. We don't know how "language was invented". As with any attempt at communication, its purpose is of mutual understanding, for otherwise no one would understand anyone. While words are refined and attuned to be more precise, the ideas from which they spring and describe do not change. Whether the Romans called it virginitas, or Spanish called it virginal, or Russian calling it виргинско, the idea is unyielding. Relativists say it was "man made", while I like to believe it was divine. In any event, it matters not how it got here, but it matters as to what idea it conveys.
its funny how on this forum even the most simplest thing can be turned into something worth analyzing.... danngit--- virginity means you havent experienced sex...doesnt matter what kind, with who, where or when- sex is still sex....i bet they wont be doing much analysis when theyre gettin their freak on... get a grip
and to answer the original thread-
have never done it with anyone, and dont plan to unless the person is worth it and when im in a serious relationship- sex isnt just bodily pleasure- to some people-at least to me- it means something more than that- just my opinion, you can take it or leave it

I think that's the point - the idea it used to convey in the 18th century is not the idea it conveys NOW. End of argument.
Also, let us stop with the elitist posts - ohhh, how dare you analyse virginity! I guess the majority of people are UNthinking human beings..
