    "Respect more important than love?" ... sounds to me like someone's mom was trying to prep her for an arranged marriage to a "respectable" man. Just the values that probably were passed down to her from her parents.

    Note that "arranged" doesn't mean "forced" ... it could just as well come with proper mental conditioning (such as shown by the topic of this thread) and brain washing over the years since birth into adulthood.

    sometimes yes, but not all the time or even most of the time...
    i sometimes need just me time too... but i love being with my family and close friends... i dont think i would take one over the other...
