Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)
1] What you CAN NOT post.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene
You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)
The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!
2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.
This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.
3] Keep the focus.
Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.
4] Behave as you would in a public location.
This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.
5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.
Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.
6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.
Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.
7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.
- PLEASE READ -
Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.
8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)
If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Winoman - I see what you're saying, but you're talking about physical experiences. Which is not to say they don't bear relevance, and there's no doubt, they will have felt a rush, joy, exhilaration, etc. that those of us who haven't attempted it will never know. But to experience something physically, you just have to get out there and do it. To experience life on a higher -maybe what we're talking about even boarders on spiritual- level....the perspective of whatever you've experienced pysically is altered ad infinitum. It's hard to explain in words. You either feel it, or you don't. I can't explain it any better then I did in my original post, or Mouse did with the follow up.
thedebutante/spiral - Ummm.....news flash. This entire thread was started on account of not being able to relate to the "average" person/conformist. In fact, the posts previous to mine went into quite explicit details about how such thinkers perceive (or "judge", as you want to call it) the rest of society/existence. So let me get this straight. It takes me stating I feel sorry for the conformist to evoke comments like "get over yourself", or "who are you to judge"? Did you not understand what was being said prior to this, or the whole point of this thread in general?

No, I must have not understood, since I am one of those people you "almost" feel sorry about.

Well mouse - my comment concerning your preferences in women is purely based on what you have frequently posted. Again and again you have expressed this preference - well what can i say? I think a man who feels such has a self-esteem problem.
I don't discount that there are plenty of folks among the masses and what have you that are basically without a clue - what I object to are those - such as yourself - who really feel they are significantly better then others - when in fact - there are a great many people "out there" that have plenty going for them - certianly plenty on you and you very limited world experience and even more (self) limited perspective.
I've never been threatened by inteligent and capable women - and I'm not into any type of domination (nor have I ever watched my wife having sex with anyone else etc - or desired to see such - your really quite off base on this one).
And me intimidated by you - now that is quite a laugh - boy!

Crimson Glow - perhaps my examples were physical experiences - but that was not my point. (or it was not what I was trying to convey). My point is that we often focus on our strengths and see our talents - our knowledge - what have you - as making us somehow more special then others - when in fact there are nearly infinite potential variations of this from other folks who have talent, knowledge, abilities, perspectives etc that are as special or perhaps in many case more special then anything you or I is capable of or has experienced - thats was my point. Don't be so hasty...(as treebeard might say...)

I do not feel I am better than those who are ignorant. I know I am better. That is the difference between my confidence and your lack of it, between being a man, and being a winoman.Achkerov kute.

And OK - again Crimson Glow - on the subject of conformists - well I feel your pain...but we are all conformists in a great many ways - we've all made different choices...and who but oreselves is to say whats right for us....but yes - OK - I too perhaps hold disdain for the multitudes - those who whistle advertising slogans and who buy into all the corporate madision avenue crap and who feel they must act and dress and associate - like and dislike certain things etc etc - because of cultural conditioning...I hear you...

Originally posted by AnonymouseMy preference in women is exactly what makes you fear me, because unlike you, I do not cower to woman, I do not seek dominant and older women, nor do I seek to see or get off on my woman with another man, which by the way you stated in another forum, about how you enjoy it when your wife tells you which men she would like to do, not to mention your androgynous role as Mr. Mom. On the contrary, you are twisting the type of woman that I seek. What I posted about women was more to do with the differences between a feminist and a woman, than it has to do with the woman I want. That you can never know.
I do not feel I am better than those who are ignorant. I know I am better. That is the difference between my confidence and your lack of it, between being a man, and being a winoman.
But I am in no way androgynous (even if I was a Mr Mom)...and you obviously lack understanding and perspective concerning what I may have said on another forum about my openess to fantasy play and such with my wife (where we each point out members of the opposite sex to each other that we know the other will apreciate - and that we might - at times - incorporate such into our fantasy play - I'm sorry that you lack imagination - and again - its also a confidence issue - I'm secure...you apparently lack...etc)
And sorry Mousy - but when you say you are superior to the ignorant - well thats a major mistatement - as you are one of those whom you feel above - in so very many ways....

I know, winoman. I've battled with that thought, too. "Why do all free thinkers think the same way"? But as time has passed, I've realized it's the same only in a very small way, and that is, it breaks away from the norm. Me and the guy I mentioned in my initial post....we differed on a lot of ideas, and for many different reasons. BUT....it's not the same as disagreeing with a conformist. A conformist doesn't even understand the concept that he/she is being FED his/her own opinions subconsciously. What he/she likes, approves of, ridicuols, etc is based on environment and society, whether this person realizes it, or not. When someone understands this, and starts formulating opinions and ideas, I can respect that completely, no matter how different that idea is then mine. It's a different ball game, and your last few sentences indicate that you may understand where I was intending on going with this. Trust me, this isn't a good reason to feel special. I would much rather everyone be able to..."awaken", for lack of a better term....then to be part of a handfull of people that feel this way. Whether he likes to admit it or not, Armand and I have quite a few thoughts in common. But this is where he and I differ. He'd rather continue being misunderstood, where as I wish free flowing ideas, and full consciousness of self were common place, because unlike him, I feel that this lack of consciousness is why humanity continues to decay. Looking for answers in the set procedures of life, and having them not work out for you.....it's why people go on shooting sprees, drown their children, get divorced about as often as they get married, etc. I don't want this kind of "special". I want everyone freed from the Matrix. "Where we go from there, is a choice I leave up to you..."
