How right you are, this is history. I hope you will learn the truth and discover it for yourself. I don't think that an Armenian forum is the best place to go to, if you don't want to be confronted with the genocide, but at least you try to understand our position, which is a major thing to do for a Turk. But no matter what you do, we won't give up until the genocide is recognized, and I think we've made our reasons clear.

Ok Esther, go and continue to demonise the Turks for your case.
Btw, do you live at Germany? How about the Turks on the streets, what do you feel when you talk with them? Do they look like murderers?

So you have an opinion which you do not have any information? You should have a knowledge before an opinion and I remember you say that you heared about 1915 first time here. So you should read some books about history a few days ago, is it so?

I am really sorry that you deleted your long message just because it wont change my opinion, because I do not have an "opinion" about this "1915 was a genocide" I believe that I have a good historical background, I read even the book of Dadrian to understand "your side" But I don't ant to read a book about one of these sides. I want to learn what really happened, and both Turkish government and Armenian diaspora have an "official history" about the past and you force me to choose one of them! I want to learn about my history to face with my history if necessary, but this should be about history, not a political struggle, both sides distort the reality. Dont come up with "even western world believe it is genocide, then why still do you deny, just confess it, etc." I can not confess a crime that I do not know. Just please understand this and stop this political pressures towards Turks to "confess" the genocide. This is not something to confess, this is not a religion or a political ideology. This is history!

How right you are, this is history. I hope you will learn the truth and discover it for yourself. I know its a sensitive issue...as I said many times before I dont know much about this issue and I am not capable of using and evaluating the facts scientifically. However in general I know what genocide means: a form of mass violence: and I personally think there had been a mass violence which can be referred as genocide or a "democide" and therefore turkish government is quilty for this.

Just one single question: You already "inofficialy" admitted, that there has been a genocide, why is it so hard to make it official? ASALA occured in 1975, so this can't be the reason for it. I'm just wondering, why you Turks act like an insulted kid, whenever we demand the recognition. Why is it so hard to see the facts and act appropriate??

Gizzy i'll be the first to admit that some years back, i used to generalize, but i recognize the error of my way... thanks to people like you.

So I don't think (all) turks are anything. I do feel that if a turkish person out right denies the genocide without and sort of rational explination, then that turk or who ever it be, is ignoarnt and i dont consider them at "my level"

"turkishness" is this feeling that exefo has that... all western world is bad, and sinner, and they terrorize the world blah blah without ever criticiszing a single muslim nation for its shortcomings ... that's turkishness (btw, it was the root of the armenian genocide)

I also think exefo is a moron, who dislikes the western world (i deduce from his/her previous comments).

I know what you mean by the "turkishness" you refer to and I am personally did have a lot of problems with it as well... some other turkish cypriots were refered to as a "bertrayer" by some turks full of "turkishness" just coz we were giving peacefull messages to all cypriots... Some people are way too "fanatic" over being a turk and whatsoever they forgot that they are just a human being and nothing special... Just say one word against their country and these people refer to you as their enemies...why? coz they have carved some ideologies in their brains (since they were brainwashed) and now they are incapable of thinking and making their own evaluations of whats right and wrong... However am afraid its not only some turks who have this kind of attitude but also some of their "enemies". I guess thats what makes the problem even bigger coz when two sides are fanatic its seems impossible to come to an agreement... However I still dont think exfo is like the way you think of him...
