Re: Is it wrong to date Turkish Cypriot people?
well,I was not trying to stereotype, I was just trying to keep things short coz I was tired of typing...
I dont know about the ratios so I cant base my argument on it but your leaders(I assume u elected them) are supporting the eu. They were also supporting eu in their election propoganda and turkey as a country is trying to enter eu so what you are saying doesnt justify anything coz turkey is in "eu dreams".When I mean leaders, I mean the party on power (AKP) I dont mean the army ... The same leaders also make politics blended with "religion". And these people at the same time support the "conservative" values. These justify why minority groups such as armenians and rums cant survive in your country coz it is simply "non-habitable"...You say the eu is racist...They might be conservative true but these people almost give equal rights as their own citizent to even the emigrants. When I walk on the streets I see different colours of people from different parts of the world. I visited Istanbul with my kenyan friend and she was given weird looks by the natives and we both felt really unconfortable...Am not saying all of you guys are like this, and am not stereotyping but majority of people in turkey are uneducated, religious and conservative. Isnt there a general belief that "the only friend of a turk is another turk" ? Isnt this a conservative approach? I saw on news like a week ago where the members of a publishing house were killed just coz they were making copies of the "holy bible". You say eu is conservative, observe your own country before critisizing others coz your counrty is no better...
You might proove with the "GDP per capita" as your country being "rich" ...But there is extremly uneven distribution of income among people...I have seen with my own eyes how some people live in luxury while majority suffer with pooverty. Therefore you cant claim "we are rich"...who are you fooling?
