Wow remember this guys? The family minus the criminal were finally repatriated 5 years later.

Azerbaijan hands over family of Yeghishe Gevorgyan to Armenia

YEREVAN. – Azerbaijan handed over the family of Yeghishe Gevorgyan to Armenia on Friday afternoon.

The family was repatriated under the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Armenia-Azerbaijan border, representative of ICRC Yerevan office told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Yeghishe Gevorgyan has run away from justice in Armenia. On January 10, 2010, Gevorgyan, together with his wife and three children, had crossed the Armenian-Azerbaijani border at the Yeraskh-Nakhichevan road section, with a vehicle. Yeghishe Gevorgyan (born in 1958) was convicted eight times in Armenia for committing robbery and was involved in a murder.

I'm not saying we should claim. Just that even though it's within Georgia's borders it's still Armenian homeland and the Armenians living there are not diaspora Armenians because they live in their homeland rather than a foreign piece of territory.

I just think this is important to note because I have also heard from some Javakhk Armenians that they don't like to be mistaken as diaspora.

I have no idea what is the deal with the Soltam K6 mortar thing. Wiki and the link they cite there are the only sources to have ever discussed this. According to Wiki, we have 19 of them. They're just mortars but if/why/how/when were they acquired is a mystery.

Well I agree with you,if they don't consider themselves diaspora then it's a win for us,we would have good influence over that area

Moved emigration discussions to proper thread before it's too late. You can find it here http://forum.hyeclub.com/showthread....rtagaxt)/page2

I encourage everyone to use other threads for topics that are too off topic. I know most things Armenian are interrelated but let's try to keep this thread about the military as much as possible. Thanks guys.

I agree. A nation in Armenia's situation should allow it's people to be well armed. Especially in Artsakh.

I say Azerbaijan buys 4 billion dollars worth of 9mm smgs! That will surely defeat those pesky Armenians!

I don't intend to start a caliber war, but 9mm is a very lethal round. A bullet of any caliber can be lethal with good shot placement. Bigger caliber weapons are a poor substitute for well trained shooters.
