Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Baku comments on deployment of Armenian snipers
    Wed 04 May 2011 07:41 GMT | 0:41 Local Time
    Text size:

'Everybody in Armenia knows that Armenian soldiers shot at one another on April 29 and this panic is rising.
We have expressed our position on it. We have got nothing more to say. But the bloody incident in the military unit has made the situation in Armenia more complicated,' spokesman for Defense Ministry, Lieutenant-Colonel Eldar Sabiroglu said while answering question concerning the deployment of professional snipers of Armenian Armed Forces on the front line.

Eldar Sabiroglu considers that in order to divert attention from the internal processes, Armenian political and military leadership try to persuade people that the soldiers did not shoot at one another, Azerbaijani Army killed them.

'The experts, members of the parliament close to the government are more active. Some fools say that at least 10-15 Azerbaijani soldiers should be killed in order to take revenge for three Armenian soldiers. Even a foolish political analyst says that since they have little population, this revenge may balance the situation. You see what these fools are hoping for?' he said.

Lieutenant-Colonel underlined that any action and deployment on the line of contact is under the control of Azerbaijani Armed Forces.

'Azerbaijani Army is ready for any extreme situation and adequate reply in order to prevent any interference of the enemy,' he said.

If there is no interference from regional powers I think it won't take too long.....regardless if Baku srarts a new war in Karabakh, it will cause irreversible changes not only in Azerbaijan but throughout the region. Also a stalemate will not be tolerated by Armenians again.

President Sarkisian has stated that "an attack on Artsakh is an attack on Armenia" as we know......no chance for things to remain the way they are now, even if Russia and Iran try to stop it.

There is not going to be a war with Turkey - there is nothing Turkey wants from Armenia or wants in Armenia. But if there were, it would be a Bush in Iraq-style "victory" for Turkey within a week, and then a long and costly war of attrition where even the best military industrial complex and weapons become useless.

But Armenia and Azerbaijan are much closer in terms of military capacity, and each is incapable of inflicting a conclusive defeat on the other.

Turkish soldier killed in clashes with PKK rebels

ANKARA, May 3 (Xinhua) -- A Turkish soldier was killed in clashes with the rebels of the outlawed Kurdish Workers' Party ( PKK) in southeastern Turkey on Tuesday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.

Turkish security forces in the southeastern province of Hakkari encountered with a group of PKK militants near the town of Cukurca as they were trying to sneak in from northern Iraq, said the report, adding that a private was killed in the clash.

A large-scale security operation is under way in the region to capture the PKK rebels, said the report.

Listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the United States and the European Union, the PKK took up arms in 1984 in order to create an ethnic homeland in southeastern Turkey.

Some 40,000 people have been killed in conflicts involving the PKK in the past two decades.

There are serious errors in your post, as usual. First of all, Turks goal is for Armenia to vanish so they can accomplish their pan-Turkish dream, this has been the case in the past and, as the policy of the racist government in Turkey has shown, is still the case today. Second of all, if there "were" a war, then this would mean a bigger war than only between Turkey and Armenia, as Russia would not allow this. And this also means that this "war" will not be an "Iraq"-style war, as you may wish in your dreams.

I still find it funny you think you are a Master in Armenian affairs and geopolitics, as a Scottish peasant.

It takes a peculiar sort of society (and person) to fantasize for the last 90 years about being butt-xxxxed by Turkey. For the first ten of those years it was possible. However, your ass is not attractive to the would-be rapist anymore. He has moved on, why don't you?

Isn't having one enemy, Azerbaijan, intent on Armenia's destruction, enough? Why do you need to decieve yourself that there is another one, and one that is 100 times more militarily powerful? It suggests to me a serious lack of concern about dealing with Azerbaijan.

Armenia increases military contingent to Afghanistan

                  May 06, 2011 | 19:23

YEREVAN. Armenia plans to increase its peacekeeping contingent in Afghanistan. According to Armenian Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan, a contingent consisting of 45 members will be increased to 130, whereas it will reach up to 260 during combat duty.

Ohanyan has today submitted the agreement prolonging presence of Armenian peacekeepers within NATO peacekeeping mission to Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, Armenian Parliament.

The commission approved the agreement and included it on the agenda of next meeting of the Armenian National Assembly.

Armenia has been participating in peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan since January 2010. The Armenian troops serve under German command as part of the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) since 2010 in the Afghan province of Kunduz. The Armenian servicemen have been ensuring security of Kunduz airport.

edojan WAS referring to Azeris....we call the Turkic Azeris "Toorks". As far as Turkey, they may say they have no interest in Armenia (a cat cant reach the meat claims it stinks, you should know Bells) but deep down inside they are scared of the future, and this is why they WANT Armenia to officially recognize their illegal borders, forget about Genocide recognition, and give land back to Baboons so they can be one step ahead on their Turanic wet dream.

Armenian Wedge got them by the balls and if they ever invade Armenia they will face an insurgency war run by a professional military in a mountainous terrain (unlike Iraq). They can't even handle the PKK, how well you think they will do against revengeful Armenians with every legit excuse to kill the invading Turks? It will be a major failure and a political nightmare for them.

Take your troll jobs to other threads Bells, you don't belong in here.

I really have to visit NK before it is lost. The place hasn't a chance in hell of surviving if those that fill this thread are in any way representative of those tasked with defending it.

Especially since you are now claiming that Azerbaijan (rather than Turkey) has a, to quote your own words, "good military industrial complex to resupply troops with all necessary weaponry".
