- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

        18:09 9/25/2017 (updated on 19:16 9/25/2017)

The Israeli anti-aircraft complex "Iron Dome" can not resist the Iskander operational and tactical missile systems (OTRK), which are on the balance of the Armenian Armed Forces since 2016, Armenian and Georgian experts believe. Baku is wasting money for their acquisition.
        Laura Sargsyan, Sputnik

Azerbaijan spends big money on the purchase of the anti-aircraft complex "Iron Dome" of Israeli production. Official Baku is sure that the Israeli missile defense system is the guarantor of the protection of the security of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline from the Armenian Iskander offensive. However, experts consider this a meaningless game with zero efficiency.

"The Iron Dome" can not resist even tactical missile systems "Tochka-U", especially "Iskander", said Spokesman of Armenia, the chief editor of the "New Defense Order" magazine, military commentator Leonid Nersisyan.

"The iron dome," according to the expert, is designed to intercept missiles with a maximum range of 70 kilometers. The system was developed by Israel to combat homemade missiles that were launched from the Gaza Strip. The "Iron Dome" can not withstand the "Point-U" in the Armed Forces of Armenia, Iskander OTRK. The Israeli missile defense system will not be able to block Armenian ballistic missiles and is ineffective for the protection of objects of strategic importance.

"ABM will probably be located in Baku, where the oil terminal and oil production facilities are located, but the effectiveness of this deployment is zero, since it is impossible to save infrastructure from the fire of Armenian operational and tactical missiles," Nersisyan said.

Yerevan can hit the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline only in case of a large-scale war, if Baku decides to strike at Stepanakert or Armenian positions. However, even in these conditions, Yerevan will not spend its Iskander oil pipeline. It is sufficient to use heavy-duty multiple rocket launcher systems "Smerch" or WM-80 Chinese volley fire system.

Expert: even the USA can not compete with Iskander
Under the worst-case scenario, Iskander will be used to neutralize oil production facilities and oil terminals in Baku.
The strength and might of the Armenian Iskanders is not doubted by the Georgian expert on military issues Vakhtang Maisay.

He also considers it ineffective to deploy an Israeli missile defense system to protect the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline.

"Baku is going to strengthen air defense in the area of the Mingechaur hydroelectric power station (the largest hydroelectric power station in Azerbaijan on the Kura River, near the city of Mingachevir, as well as the largest hydroelectric power station in Transcaucasia) and other strategic facilities. , of course, our countries will not come to any special agreement, "Maisai said in an interview with Sputnik correspondent.

However, the possible signing of the memorandum will put Georgia in a dependent position. Tbilisi will not join this game of Baku against Yerevan, the expert is sure.

Georgia will try to ensure the safety of the pipeline on its own plot. However, official Tbilisi today is concerned about the fact that the two-kilometer section of Baku-Tbilisi-Supsa is controlled by Moscow.

1000 meters above sea level for "Iskander" no problem
Part of the Baku-Tbilisi-Supsa pipeline (about 1.5 km) is located on the territory of South Ossetia. After the war in 2008, its territory completely passed under the control of the Ossetian side. The pipeline is designed to transport oil from the Chirag field. Its length is 830 km, including 775 km of a new pipeline with a diameter of 21 inches (530 mm) and 55 km of a rehabilitated pipeline. In 2011, SOCAR exported 2.652 million tons of Azerbaijani oil via the Baku-Supsa pipeline.
There could be a dangerous overconfidence here, I think.
I just read that Israel has developed a new defence system called "David's sling" to intercept medium range ballistic missiles.
This sistem' s missiles fly at Mach 7.5 speed and have special tracking sistem. Israel developed it with US to counter the iskanders.
Iskander has a speed of Mach 5.9.
Theoretically israeli rockets can catch up with them easily.
We already saw that in aprill war azeris had a surprise with orbiters. Could it be possible for them to buy this new Israeli sistem?
        After all money buys anything.
Do you guys have any info? Any news about this?

Davidin chatal is very new. The shekelists have been sucking US tax dollars to make it happen. They just received couple units for their own use and no one knows if it really works with the Iskander.
The whole East Europe are waiting for something to counteract the Russian Iskander. IF it will work and will be available it will be couple years yet.
A good read ... see link.

In recent weeks, Armenia has been showing off the sophisticated new weapons it acquired via a $200 million credit line extended by Russia. And most notably, on September 21, during a parade in Yerevan commemorating the 25th anniversary of Armenian independence, the Armed Forces showcased Iskander theater ballistic missiles (see EDM, September 26), which Armenia bought independently of Russian credit. …

          • Don’t trust these bagel munchers on everything they state. They get around 4 billions a year in American arms technologies that they modify and sell under their name. Yet, they are not much of an armament exporters. We have seen how their indestructible merkava tanks got flipped and burned by older versions of Russian ATGM. Also, it took our guys 6 months to find a permanent cure to their kamikaze toys that made them pack and leave with some BS excuse.

I would still say, don't be overconfident.
Any mistakes and surprises are going to be paid off by blood of young guys.

About azeris trying to hit Yerevan from Nakhichevan, in all world views it will free us to invade that land and turkey will have to join which will drag Russia in too.

azeris objective with Nakhichevan is to make us shift some resources to that border in the hopes of distraction/weakening. Russia has turkey in its pocket for now. It deliver them the kurds on a silver platter.
Also, the turkish military might use the main roads in eastern turkey, when it comes to any potential conflicts in that region by the border of the (3) states, the kurds will slaughter them. Specially now that they are voting on independence in the region. I am not too worried of Nakhichevan region. The Iskander dominance is good for couple years and even four years for the azeris to have countermeasure.

Not a chance. Since the David's Sling system is a joint-development project between the United States and Israel, Israel has to obtain approval from the United States for exports of the system or technology used in it, and the United State's approving such an export to Azerbaijan isn't going to happen any time in the foreseeable future.
