I doubt that matters, since Turkey broke all agreements in the first place through the Armenian Genocide.

These treaties were sighed after the Genocide events.

You're mistaken about why the treaty of sevres is invalid.Signed treaties need to be ratified by the parliament (according to the constitution- Kanūn-ı Esāsī for ottoman empire) to be effective.This treaty has never been ratified either by ottoman parliament or later by national assembly of turkey.Thus it's considered invalid.

I think you are mistaken too, the Alexandrople treaty is the one which was not ratified by any Armenian parliament.

I was talking about the treaty of sevres not being ratified by the Ottoman parliament.I should have clarified that considering the nature of the particular quote is kinda vague.

I am not sure if Ottomans had a functioning parliament at the time...

Capitulation of Germany in 1945 also never was ratified by any German parliament. Dose that makes it invalid?

What you overlook is armistices and treaties are not the same thing.
Capitulation of Germany is an unconditional surrender and it's something completely different.After all there wasn't a governing body left aftermath.

This has not necessarily been the case for Ottoman Empire.


PS I do not contest the de facto validity of treaty of sevres at the year of 1920-21. My objection is to its de jure validity.

I appreciate very much most of Diaspora Armenians support and efforts to be helpful for the true Armenian cause; that is rejecting to sign the protocol.
