Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

You have genetic proof for that? We had a whole debate with another Persian (azar) who was claiming that we were genetic brothers as well.

We are both Aryan nations. But genetically speaking, we are more close to greeks than persians because persians have mixed with semites over the ages. Today, less than 40% of persians is real Aryan. The rest are mix.

Azeris claim a lot of things - it doesn't mean they are all true. However, the genetic ties between Armenians and Persians are well-known; yet I can't discuss them all here in single comment here nor do I have the time to rehash several thousand years of history. Intermarriage among the Iranian and Armenian nobility was common. The two peoples shared many religious, political, and linguistic elements and traditions and even shared the same political dynasties. There are a lot of good books you can read on the subject: a good one is "King of Kings" by Gevork Nazaryan. (See also The New Englander, at p. 524, by William Lathrop Kingsley). By the way, Parskahye are "Persian-Armenians" -- there are tens of thousands in Iran today, so it is not limited to ancient history. Also, my aunt married an Armenian - so I can prove it, but you'd have to come to my house for dinner.

Supplement to last post: Interview with V. Putin:

"I don't consider myself a specialist of Persian literature, which I
regret, because everything I hear or learn is very interesting despite.
This also concerns the history of Iran, a part of
world history. Iran is initially a world power that spread from the
near East to India, and even included some parts of the former Soviet
          republics.

Iran is a country of protoreligion, Zoroastrianism. Some specialist
consider it an eventual source of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism.
Followers of this great religion ended up on the territory of Iran after a great migration.
This is to say that the histories of our two countries and the roots of their
cultural exchange are much deeper than can be imagined at first.
          That
gives security that our two countries will always be able to
communicate on any problem, since we understand one another."

Where can I find 'King of Kings' by Nazaryan?
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.

Do you mean King of Kings on Armenian Highland?

Not sure where you got the 40% figure from, but yes on the borders of Iran there are some mixed people (and in the territories of the Ancient Persian Empires). Just so people aren't confused, Ahmadinejad is not Persian - here is a Persian girl in the video below:

Here is a good source - maybe a bit time consuming.
                  http://lib.harvard.edu/

A better source is to contact Dr. Richard Nelson Frye, Prof. of Persian Studies at Harvard (he's still alive); he can likely give very good information about Armenian history as well (Because he speaks factually, the pan-Turkists hate him! ) See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Nelson_Frye

Another good source is Dr. Kaveh Farrokh -- I believe he is a Persian-Azari (not to be confused with a Turkic-Azeri). His email is on his site - just send him some information requests; maybe invite him to join the discussion. (Just so people aren't confused: The Turks stole the name Azerbaijan.) http://www.kavehfarrokh.com/about/background/

Maybe if someone can make a new thread (I'm not sure how, as I'm new), with time permitting I can fill it full of information quotes from scholarly sources -- it might even be useful to counter the wholly fabricated Turkic claims (in case anyone hasn't noticed, Turks just make stuff up).

Re: IRAN declared itself a nuclear nation

"You are misinformed about the people called Azerbaijanis, it is not all that simple. The Azaris in Iran are not like the Azeris in Azerbaijan, nor do they like them. I have spoken to a bunch of Azaris from Iran and they see little to no connection with the republic, the ones in Iran even call them "godless Soviets". Besides a few Grey Wolf elements, the Azaris in Iran do not support any union with Azerbaijan and they are staunchly pro-Iran and being Iranian. Their population is also heavily concentrated in the northern part of Iran, far away from all the important sites of the country."
Every one needs to understand what Federate wrote - because he is absolutely correct. Persian-Azaris are not Turkic-Azeris (who stole the name "Azerbaijan"). The more everyone understands this, the easier it is to debunk Turkic fraudulent historical inventions.

On a side note: I remember Monte Melkonian, the famous Armenian commander, saying that the "Republic of Azerbaijan" (= fake country) was forcing people of Persian & Armenian heritage into their armed forces in large numbers (while the the Turks stayed away from the battle field and took safe duties). Monte inferred that the Turks were doing two things: (1) Ethnically cleansing the Persian/Aryan people; and (2) in essence making Armenians fight themselves. (I.e., more turkification.)

"It is generally agreed, and indeed not subject to serious doubt, that before the advent of the Turks, Iranian languages were spoken here in Azerbaijan and Zanjan, as elsewhere in Persia." (Henning, W.B. “The Ancient Language of Azerbaijan,” Transactions of the Philological Society (1954).)
