Quickly, within hours, anti-Armenian news is being spread by Western media. Even though hundreds of actions of the Azerbaijani are extremely fascist and anti-everything, the Western media will always try to put Armenia in a bad light. Will they report on the movie which was being produced in Russia to show friendship between Armenians and Azerbaijanis, but where the Azeri authorities directly got involved to get it banned? Of course not, the Western governments and media are the most biased out there.

Armenia: Yerevan Authorities Obstruct Nagorno-Karabakh Documentary Project

    March 11, 2011 - 2:53pm, by Justin Burke

Armenian authorities denied entry on March 10 to a European Union-based television documentary crew that is taking an independent look at the Nagorno-Karabkah conflict.

Foreigners routinely obtain visas at Yerevan airport, provided they have appropriate support paperwork. The four-member television crew -- comprising a Lithuanian, Finn and two Estonians – all had valid documentation needed to obtain a visa. Yet, according to an executive producer of the project, Andrius Brokas, border officials denied the crew entry.

A representative of the Armenian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the crew had been barred from entering the country, citing technical reasons. "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs does not grant visas inside the country upon arrival," the ministry representative claimed. "In addition, they did not address us for accreditation according to the set procedure."

Speaking by phone from Helsinki, Finland, Brokas said the documentary crew, is working on the documentary for broadcast by the Finnish National Broadcasting Company YLE. The group had coordinated the project with a local Armenian partner, AZD, a Yerevan-based production company. AZD representatives had assured Brokas that all necessary permissions had been obtained for four days of filming in Karabakh and three in Yerevan.

The television crew may have encountered problems at Yerevan airport because former president and current opposition leader, Levon Ter-Petrosian, was among the individuals lined up for interviews. The documentary project also has conducted its own investigation into the Khojaly tragedy of 1992. Azerbaijani officials assert that Armenian forces slaughtered hundreds of Azerbaijani civilians in the incident.

The television crew spent the night at the airport, Brokas said. The Yerevan-based ambassador of Lithuania, which currently holds the chair of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, reached out to Armenian officials in an attempt to resolve the issue.
Finnish TV Team Barred From Entering Armenia

A group of journalists and film-makers working for Finnish television was held up at Yerevan airport and denied entry into Armenia on Friday for reasons that the Armenian authorities refused to publicize.

Andrius Brokas, an executive producer at Finland’s YLE public television and radio network, said immigration officials at the Zvartnots international airport refused to issue visas to the four-member TV crew without any explanation.

“Somebody whispered to them that they have been banned from entering the country and that they are going to clarify the situation,” Brokas told RFE/RL’s Armenian service from Helsinki.

The Armenian Foreign Ministry confirmed the information but did not give any reasons for the ban. Its spokesman, Tigran Balayan, argued that the ministry’s consular services issue visas only outside Armenia.

The Armenian police and National Security Service (NSS), which manages the Armenian border crossings, also refused to explain why the Finnish, Lithuanian and Estonian nationals were denied entry into the country. It was not clear if they were still kept at Zvartnots or deported as of late evening.

Brokas told RFE/RL that they flew to Yerevan to produce a report on Armenia for a YLE morning show.

But in a separate written statement , Brokas said the group was commissioned by YLE to collect material for a documentary on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and, in particular, the 1992 killings of Azerbaijani civilians in Khojaly village. He condemned the visa rejection as “an open defiance of European values of open access to information.”

EurasiaNet, RadioFreeLiberty, ArmeniaNow, all linked together. xxxxers, they could post ten articles a day about Azerbaijan not letting journalists in for research, but of course they don't. Hypocrites.

Even by looking at media, we see that Russian media is much, much more unbiased and treats us fair. I recommend everyone to watch RT (Russia Today). I can even state their media is pro-Armenian. Long live Russia, the main reason (together with our fedayees) why Armenia exists today!

Re: Exposing ArmeniaNow, biased Western-backed political anti-Armenian media outlets.

RFE/RL received funds from the Central Intelligence Agency until 1972. Since then, it has been funded by regular, open Congressional appropriations through the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) and has received no funds from the CIA.[63] The CIA's relationship with the radios began to break down in 1967, when Ramparts magazine published an expose claiming that the CIA was channeling funds to civilian organizations. Further investigation into the CIA's funding activities revealed its connection to both RFE and RL, sparking significant media outrage. Investigations into the legal basis of the relationship jeopardized the existence of both radios, which could not survive without the CIA's funding.[64]

In 1971 the radios came under public spotlight once again when prominent U.S. Senator Clifford Case introduced the Senate Bill 18 which would remove funding for RFE and RL from the CIA's budget, appropriate $30 million to pay for fiscal year 1972 activities and have the United States Department of State temporarily oversee the radios.[40] This was only a temporary solution, however, as the State Department was reluctant to take on such a significant long-term responsibility.

In May 1972 President Richard Nixon appointed a special commission to deliberate RFE/RL's future.[65] The commission proposed that funding come from the United States Congress and that a new organization, the Board for International Broadcasting (BIB) would simultaneously link the radios and the federal government and serve as an editorial buffer between them.[66]
From the beginning, Radio Free Liberty has been a CIA-funded organization, not to bring "real news" but to manipulate people in other countries. Now, the CIA doesn't directly give money to this organization, because this was exposed, but through an intermediate channel.

America, as a democratic country, bans media from other countries on it's own territory. How funny is that? Talking about hypocrisy. They want to have the right to publish their propaganda in other countries, but beware, as you can't do the same in America!

Recently, Russia Today released a series of posters to advertise their presence which they had planned to place in Airports throughout America. Strangely, American officials had a problem with some of the posters so they have decided to ban them outright. Personally, I see nothing wrong with comparing Barack Obama to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad or comparing US Soldiers to terrorists. While I don't agree with the comparison, it is simply free speech. America has been openly critical of Russia for not allowing free speech within Russian borders, but sees no problem doing the same within American borders. Being a hypocrite is a very important aspect of being a politician.

                Love this one.

PS. The succes of RT is because of it's editor in chief, a genius young Armenian women, Ms. Simonyan!

The Armenian government should include Russia Today in it's cable system, to balance the propaganda coming from the West.

For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.

Re: Exposing ArmeniaNow, biased Western-backed political anti-Armenian media outlets.

Had hoped Azerbaijani guest performers in Europe spill?
On the eve became known that the border guards in Armenia were refused entry visas to a group of citizens of Lithuania and Estonia, was headed to Armenia to conduct surveys. Among the who arrived in Armenia, but never managed to cross the country - three of Estonian citizens and one citizen of Lithuania. All of them were sent to Armenia's production company owned by the Lithuanian citizen Andrews Brocas. They argue that arrived in Armenia for the filming of a documentary about the armed conflict in the Caucasus.

Despite the fact that the National Security and Foreign Minister has not commented on details of the incident, the media became aware of some details of the incident. Thus, citing its own sources in the relevant bodies of Armenia, a REGNUM reported that regardless of the reasons for the refusal to grant visas to members of this group, the results of their ability to work in Armenia were aimed at causing damage to the country's image and its interests in information space. "The company has a well-paid Brocas contractual relationship with the formal structures of Azerbaijan until the formal contract. In particular, the Lithuanian producer company at one time signed a cooperation agreement with the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, as has repeatedly and publicly stated in the Lithuanian press " .

Meanwhile, the correspondent Times.am became known more details of cooperation with the authorities of Azerbaijan's production company Andrius Brocas, who also is the executive producer of the National Television YLE Finland. Thus, in the Lithuanian-Azerbaijani cultural cooperation, 18 and 19 June 2010 at the Palace of Heydar Aliyev held a show of world famous musical «Notre Dame de Paris». Producers concert Andrius Brocas and Egmontas Bzheskas then stated that they are happy to contribute to the cultural development of Azerbaijan. Brocas said the musical show was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan, adding that in April 2011, he plans to hold another event in Baku - the synthesis of ethnic culture and contemporary art "Dream of wind."

March 24, 2008 Azerbaijani Fund Ilyas Afandieva published news on improving cooperation with foreign companies. According to a press release from the fund, 13-20 March of the same year, president of the Elias Afandieva Tural Afandi and CEO Shahid Azimov visited Lithuania, where they held a meeting with Andrius Brocas and Egmontasom Bzheskasom. Meeting was organized by the Foundation in the Nordic and Baltic countries, Tahir Aliyev. At the meeting the leaders of the Foundation with heads of Lithuanian production companies had reached an agreement on cultural cooperation and promotion of Azerbaijani culture throughout Europe.

Of particular interest is also a figure representative of the Fund in the Nordic and Baltic countries Tagira Aliyev. Several years ago, Aliyev had a chance to be the coordinator of the Finnish Film Festival in Baku. It was then that he became acquainted with the famous Finnish director Pirjo Honkasalo, and subsequently with other Finnish film producers, he moved to Finland. There he was involved in a project of the National Television YLE Mundo , where he worked as an assistant director. Along with a career in Finland, Tahir Aliyev became an active advocate of Azerbaijan's interests in the Nordic and Baltic countries. In May 2010, Tahir Aliyev, in cooperation with the Finnish company «Helmi film» presented the documentary film "Memoirs of Baku . This film was shown in the ether of the Finnish TV channel YLE and Sweden «FST». In addition, as noted above, namely Tahir Aliyev "recruited" Andrius Brocas, a film crew that March 10 was not allowed to Armenia.

After all of the above can only wonder, had hoped Azerbaijani guest performers of the Lithuanian, Estonian and Finnish spill?

Who does Europe, the West and America support? These Azerbaijani spies! Who does Europe, the West and America support when Azerbaijan destructs our historical heritage in Julfa? Azerbaijan! (UNESCO declared baku as the "Capital of the world dialogue")!

                    Hypocrisy is their religion.

Know your true enemies dear Armenians.
