Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Turkey probes handover of refugees to Syria

ANKARA A Turkish prosecutor has launched a probe after two Syrian refugees staying in a Turkish border camp were handed over to Syrian security forces, Anatolia news agency reported Friday.

Huseyin Mustafa Harmus and Mustafa Kassum were taken out of a refugee camp in Altinozu, Hatay province, near the Syrian border and delivered to Syrian security forcesby force, said the prosecutors office in southern Adana province, in a statement cited by Anatolia.

Five people including a member of Turkey's National Intelligence Organisation (MIT) were detained and some MIT officials were summoned to testify as part of the probe, it reported.

The investigation centred on accusations of political espionage, said the statement according to Anatolia, without elaborating.

Turkey is home to some 7,500 Syrians who have fled Syrian President Bashar al-Assadï's deadly crackdown on opponents that has left more than 6,000 people dead since mid-March according to human rights groups.

Once a close ally of Syria, Turkey has since been at the forefront of international criticism of the Damascus regime.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has also urged his once close friend Assad to quit.

Events in Syria are also starting to spill over into Lebanon.

BEIRUT/TRIPOLI, Lebanon: Shock waves from the Syrian uprising reached new levels in Lebanon Friday as armed clashes rocked the northern city of Tripoli and rattled the country. Gunfire and rocket propelled-grenades were exchanged between the pre-dominantly Alawite Tripoli neighborhood of Jabal Mohsen and mainly Sunni district Bab al-Tabbaneh after midday prayers when 700 people marched from a mosque in Tripoli and demonstrated in the city center against the Syrian government.

Seven people were wounded in the fighting including Jihad Mohammad Sabaa and Khaled Sayadi. Two residents were wounded in the initial fighting while three soldiers were wounded when the Lebanese Army tried to bring the area under control. Two more residents were wounded hours after the clashes when an arms cache exploded in the Abi Samra neighborhood.

They would do better to try to prevent it from ever happening rather than prepare for it.

But Armenia is the poodle of America almost as much as the poodle of Russia, so Armenia will say nothing. The American poodling is done mostly for reasons of fashion and flattery, and no foolish or cowardly person goes against what is the current fashion. It is only after a fashion has ended that its followers admit how ridiculous it was and how wrong they were to follow it.

I wouldn't say Armenia is Poodle of America. If it was it would have cooperated in anti-Iranian activities in the region.

Armenia is a fashion poodle when it concerns America. Like one of those dogs that are carried around by celebrities, it wants to be in with the in-crowd and go where the in-crowd meet. There may be stong military and economic advantages, but there is no fashion status in hanging out with Russia. The current rabid bloodlust hate against Syria is driven by fashion - for a country to to go against it would be like its ambassador going to an international diplomatic event wearing an old-fashioned tie with a food stain on it. Of course Armenia is not alone in following this current fashion - but Armenians in Syria will suffer from it, so Armenia more than most countries has a good reason for not following it, and should be vocal in opposing it.

American interests in the region align with Turkish interests. Armenia cannot be a poodle of america, because it will mean becoming poodle of turkish interests. Russia is the best option and much more reliable friend. They share similar strategic concerns as us. Our relationship with the US is just some silver coating. There isn't any substance to it. If it was for ANCA, Armenia would be written off as a hostile country, made part of "Axis of Evil" and so forth.

Inferiority complex. Scotland still is not an independent country. What a shame, what a failed poodle nation it is.

Armenians, don't take this xxxxxcat serious. He is just an old frustrated Scott, can't blame him! Would feel exactly the same.
