  • Re: Armenian-Turkish Relations

I think you misunderstood. Either way, everyone knows we are essentially the pawns of Russia (and we should be if we want our state to physically survive). So, my point was, I hope Sarkisian's inadequacy in diplomacy is due to pressure from Russia (which has always existed), rather than his own incompetance.

For Russia, they would prefer if everything seems like its going good in the region in order to get their economic gain. Thats what economics is based on to a large degree-- what people think, not what is actually happening. I don't think Russia actually cares if Armenia signs away its national interests or not-- I think that would be up to Sarkisian, who has no reason to do so.

I perfectly understood you from first time. Does it make any difference if Sarkissian is an idiot or a hypocrite coward? (I personally think he is little bit of both)

Now I really HOPE so and pray for that as he may have many very and exclusively personal reasons to sign that xxxx.

In genocide turks have nothing to to gain world know what is the truth.

Most dangerous is the part of recognition of current borders, which is the ex soviet one,so if we as armenians have to face the truth,we need power to expel the kars trait and bring wislonian armenia in power, now its not the time.

I think since we broke from soviet union we had to accept the current borders,so i say when time comes we will demand to review the past agreements as invalid.

So if our government say that historic commission will be establish i think that they know what to do.i guess we have to prove turks that they are wrong one more time.I dont really believe that we can lose something from it,i see it as opportunity to smack the truth to hole turkeys society in governmental level.

They didn’t choose anything, everything was chosen for them by others. They just do not have balls to stand up for interests of our country.
We have no vital interest in opening that borders.

Mukuch I agree that either way our situation is not good. I would just rather have a competant president following Russia's orders, because Russia's orders might end up being beneficial to us in the long run. But if our president is incompetant, we are screwed no matter what. Thats all I meant to say by "I hope".

And I agree with you that the commission of historians is counter-productive. Turkey just wants the international community to think that there is two sides to this issue. There isn't. There was a genocide no matter how you choose to look at it.

And I also agree that we have no interest in opening the border.

It's not about Serjik, it's about us(Armenian government/serjik) making the same mistakes. We are again trusting the Turks it seems we haven't learned anything at all.
