Georgia says its has partnership with Armenia and strategic relations with Azerbaijan

PanARMENIAN.Net - The non-resolved conflict in Nagorno Karabakh threatens stability in South Caucasus, according to a draft Concept of Georgia's National Security .

As for cooperation in South Caucasus, the draft concept refers to close partnership with Azerbaijan and Armenia, Civil Georgia reported.

"Despite the existing discrepancies, there are possibilities for cooperation among the South Caucasian countries," the draft concept reads.

It also says that the cooperation with Azerbaijan has been established as a strategic partnership, while Georgia and Armenia have close partnership in all fields of common interests. Georgia also praises the efforts aimed at the Armenian-Turkish normalization.

The draft Concept of Georgia's National Security is planned to be adopted by the parliament after a series of discussion during the current spring session.

The document reflects the changes in the field of Georgia's security after the adoption of a similar concept in 2005.

Well they've historically had tensions with Russia. It's like telling us to become allies with Turkey.

Russia doesn't want to destroy Georgian culture. They just want them to stop being so anti-russia. Our situation with turkey is different.

Georgia's future is uncertain. Problem lies with georgia's own multicultural divide. This beautifull land has seen sad times indeed, and I don't see how it will survive being so weak and dependant on the west in Russia's sphere.
Now if they change their path and join Russia, they'd definitely have a better chance of survival. Are they too dumb/egoistical to realise that?

I will not keep my mouth shut while I see some punk spreading disinformation on an Armenian forum. Unlike your sorry self I do not go out of my way to show Armenia as either wholly good or bad. I take a holistic approach, which does not include false accusations stats and/or reforming events to make my conclusions stronger. When has the rest of the world been on a friendly term with Armenia and Armenians that we shouldn't have hostile thoughts towards them? Every country is a potential enemy in the future and should be treated like this. The US is doing this, every other power is doing this why shouldn't we? It's time we leave the naivety behind us and move towards a state of mind that will help us survive in todays world that isn't different form the world of the Romans nor is from the world of the Byzantines.

For the West, it would be convenient that Armenia didn't exist so they could run all their precious energy projects through our territory and also surround Iran even more with "allies", and kick Russia out of the region.
