Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Thank you, comrade. I am deeply-deeply troubled by these recent developments. Forget about this freaky asswipe, he is just a little assgiver crying out for attention. What I'm deeply concerned about are those in our nation who are 'worshiping' Levon today as if he is a demigod. They are disgusting to the core. It's simply amazing how irrational, twisted, hateful and destructive their movement is. It feels as if an evil force has descended upon a significant portion of our population today. Perhaps I am imagining things but to me they are like zombies, they even have a certain cold/blank 'stare' in their eyes. I have never before seen this much irrational hate, misplaced anger and suicidal tendencies. Just several days ago I even overheard some Levonakans in New York City talking about conducting terrorist activities in Yerevan, such as blowing up residential buildings in Yerevan. Where did these vile demons all of a sudden come from? This whole ordeal has been very disturbing for me.

The majority of the who participated in the pro-Levon protests are people who are dissatisfied with their relatively low-standard living conditions, and not ideological supporters of Levon, but people who are sick and tired of their conditions, and the current authorities cannot be defended either because it is they who have given cause for mass dissatisfaction. While I am far from being a supporter of Levon, the situation in Armenia can be described as rule by force. By any account, Armenia needs stability at all times.

The masses are sheeple and have to be ruled by force.

Armenian, you were talking about "democracy" in the west above. I know you know this, but it could be misleading the reader -- there is no "democracy" in the west. There is a nice myth and underhanded manipulation. In Russia, Belarus, Armenia, things are a bit more straight forward. Much less of a show is put on for the populace.

Armenia emigration between 1991-2005 is estimated at between more than 500 thousand to a little over a million; the majority leaving for Russia. The remainder to other CIS states and Europe with approximately 4%-8% (based on which estimate you follow) migrating to the U.S. (not just LA but the whole of the continent). Those leaving were mostly consistent for grounds for doing so: no work/future, crumbling Sovietized infrastructure, poor quality of life, lack of vision with very few leaving for unstable atmosphere (social, moral or psychological) or geopolitical instability. Other reasons included the NKR conflict in 1991 and the 88 Earthquake tragedy. And, those leaving during LTP's tenure likely wanted to leave during Soviet regime for reasons that (poor infrastructure and economy) persisted since that regime and appear to continue to this day.

Stupid one, most of the greatest nations on earth are, or have been until recently, constitutional monarchies. You want some examples of current constitutional monarchies, asswipe? Here you go: Japan, Sweden, Holland, Belgium, England, Spain, Andorra, Denmark, Norway, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Thailand, Monaco, Morocco and Jordan. Please, I change my mind, put you head back up your ass - that's where it naturally belongs.

Asswipe, there are several surviving remnants of Armenia's ancient nobility live and well in Europe and Russia. But I don't think that would be the wisest route to go. I personally would also like to see the Katolikos given a duel role, Արքա համենայն հայոց և հոգեվոր հայրապետ: - king of all Armenians and spiritual patriarch. Etchimadzin then transforms into Armenia's royal throne, as it were in ancient times under the name of Vagharshapat. The Cilician Patriarch can then act as the Katolikos. In reality, Saint Gregory's line is preserved in the Cilician Patriarchate, not in Etchmiadzin. There are ways to achieve this, it just requires an organized effort. I would personally pursue the above noted agenda even if it meant alienating/loosing a majority of Armenia's diasporan population. So, if asswipes like you don't like it, too bad. Just bask in the reality of knowing that when you die your remains will pollute foreign lands and not Armenia.

I think the moonbat alarm just went off. And, what do you suppose the monarch shall do with the constitution? Use his to wipe his nose? As a tablecloth? Or, a paper airplane? What a douchebag!!! I'm assuming next you shall represent that you are within then hereditary line...next in succession, in fact. Oh, Prince Armenian...

You are more obnoxious than Abe Foxman. Just shut-up for once.

If you felt that your argument was stronger than Armenian's, you wouldn't alway feel compeled to react in a tit-for-tat fashion.

Your acting like an ill-bred child that consumes way to much sugar.
