Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Do you really think Armenia can survive without financial aid from the U.S. or the diaspora? http://www.armenialiberty.org/armeni...179D6A4F39.ASP

And, to compel Turkey to give in to the EU while not doing so is not very reasonable or sound. http://www.armenialiberty.org/armeni...A7F11F4E0E.ASP

What happened on March 1 was not a color revolution, it was a counterrevolultion.

Anyone who, after reading Armenian’s threads and posts for years, thinks that he does not know what he is talking about must be a certified idiot. So, it’s time to post up your US government issued idiot certificate. Let the people see the sole source of your income, the government pension for being a cuckoo. Or is it the bankruptcy that provides you with the cash? Either way you are nothing more than one of many real and fake idiotic parasites of Southern California. The only reason I pay any attention to your kind is your sudden urge to become political observers about a country you and your kind know absolutely zilch about. Armenia is not your country because you are an American idiot. Get your government’s handouts, eat your junk food and shut the fuk up!

Billions of dollars of private money that every year comes to Armenia comes from Russia’s, US and Europe’s Armenian expatriates working hard and providing for their families and relatives in Armenia. In comparison the Diaspora contributes a very, very small amount of money targeting only special projects such as building of roads, sponsorship of certain organizations etc. So, to claim that Armenia can’t survive without the financial aid from diaspora is not just false, uneducated and stupid it is also anti-Republic of Armenia because it spreads lies about the financial well-being of the independent Republic of Armenia and it extremely exaggerates diaspora’s role in that financial well being. Stop spreading lies!

What happened on March 1 is that groups of criminals and criminally minded individuals together with groups of naïve and downright stupid individuals (with a very small group of decent but unfortunately politically completely ignorant people caught in between) decided to attack unarmed police and to create chaos and anarchy. The decent ones immediately left the scene as soon as they realize that their “fellow” demonstrators carry all sorts of weapons from knives, metal bars to petrol bombs and guns. There were a lot of people who were simply caught in the chaos and didn’t want anything to do with the criminal mob but unfortunately they couldn’t leave because the mob has already started attacking police, burning cars and buses, looting shops and throwing Molotov xxxxtails left and right. Police had no other choice but to block the area and to respond to the above crimes. So, stick that “revolution” slogan up your arse and once again, shut the fuk up!

I find it fascinating that after the massive voting frauds that occurred, you can sit here and defend the government as somehow protecting an interest higher than the people they supposedly represent.

Do you seriously contend that there was no funny business that occurred?

So it's okay for police acting under the arm of the state, to kill, jail, and maim individuals but not okay when individuals resist against the corrupt power of the state?

Jesus, it seems some people want nothing short of totalitarian and despotic regimes and disagreements and dissent are nothing but bad news, but conformity and silencing dissent must be advanced at every cost.

I would like to believe this isn't some Asiatic / Turkic Mongoloid banana republic.

Anyone who can seriously sit here, like a keyboard warrior, and contend that no funny business occurred in Armenia during the kangaroo elections and defend the corrupt state, has their head so far up their a55es they need a glass belly to view the outside world.

Hahaha. You live in the biggest banana republic in the world the US of A and yet you call our beautiful country a banana republic? C’mon Anonymouse, you are a pretty smart cookie so, what’s with this “fraud” and “corruption” cra-p?
Your country is the world wide leader for all the corruption, indecency and fraud. Worry about the Zionist-Freemason dictatorship that rules your USA. Because the cradle of the civilization - Armenia - which is encircled by enemies and had to survive at any cost is NOT created and ruled by the descendants of gangsters, fraudsters and eastern European J-ewish bazaar traders like your USA is. We are the descendants of very proud, fiercely independent and creative nation, we are governed by our very own principles, we are the proud bearers of the Armenian Spirit of our heroic ancestors and from the high peaks of our holly mountains we spit on all of the Western bull-sh!t!

I agree with you Hayotz amrotz, I for one don't believe in democracy especcaly for Armenia. Armenia has been powerful under strong leaders. Look at our history and you'll see that under Tigran we were united and no one could defeat us till his sun betrayed him. Look at Cilicia when a strong king ruled we were strong there were times we ruled over Antioch but we were devided by weaklings we were defeated and once we are devided it's hard to go back to unity. So what we need is a strong leader who can unite us as one and keep the country save and not crap values we get from the west false democracy, the bulxxxx freeedom. We need a strong leader not a traitor like Levon we need to return to our roots.

Do those principles include killing and beating Armenian citizens (who may or may not have been protesting)?

When the "citizens" attempt to destabilize a government that is already in a precarious geopolitical position in a very volatile region of the world, yes it does include killing and beating Armenian citizens. Where has it been any different? DO you think a Levon type politician in American could get away with a fraction of what our Levon got away with in Armenia? In my opinion, the authorities did too little and they did it too late. I am looking forward to many-many more killings, maiming and jailings.

Look, I agree that the government should take a strong stance against Levon, but jailing, beating, and even killing the opposition I question. When you have a government that jails the people of their country who are against their views than it is not a democracy, but rather a Stalinist regime which is worse than anything. The government should respect the freedoms of people to a degree* violating does freedoms by jailing or killing is not a democratic government but rather a dictatorship. Look in North Korea anybody who opposes the government is put away immediately. Has this helped North Korea at all, no! The killing of citizens just because they oppose the government is not justified in any means. The shooting of innocent people demonstrating is not justified. Maybe if armed men tried to storm the goverment building or create havoc killing them would be justified. But anyhow, the government should be careful and not get carried away with the silencing of opposition. Armenian why are you looking forward to more killings, do you want all the opposition dead? How can you possibly think that killing or jailing the opposition will solve our problems. In the contrary, it will ruin our reputation as a country, and destroy any democratic ideals that our country ever had.
