This question is being discussed on every single forum, on every single YT video and majority of Armenians are not even aware of their own genetics...I hope my posts sorted out some questions first of all for Armenians themselves.

And no need to pretend we as Armenians are above all these discussions. We are under huge anti-Armenian propaganda which denies our history, our culture, our genetics. denying genetics is a part of the same propaganda. Why do you think Georgian and Azeri propaganda machine claims we are not natives to the land ( but from India lol)? Because if we are not natives then we are denied the rights on our Artsakh and our Javakhk...

Are you seriously giving the propaganda written by some insecure young azeri hiding in his computer room, respect? By refuting that you are just giving that BS more legitimacy. What's also laughable is using DNA to divide ethnic groups. After all, the differences in DNA between us and azeris, turks, georgians, are very minuscule. Such a division made on the basis of a few different genes at such a small level. Ethnic groups are not defined by DNA, they are defined by culture. Because, in truth, the people closest to us "genetically" are the Turks and Azeris? So you see how stupid and laughable it is to divide ethnic groups by that criteria?

What's also laughable is using DNA to divide ethnic groups. After all, the differences in DNA between us and azeris, turks, georgians, are very minuscule. As u see researches prove our dominant blood is European.

Besides, what is Turks or Azeris? Turks are a huge melting pot of all occupied people, first of all Armenians.
Azeris are invading Tartars and indigenous people of Caucasian Albania:Talysh,Udi,Lezgin,Tsakhur,Avars. Some of them are Indo-European like us and Udis are still Apostolic Christians. So if they examine some assimilated Armenians as "Turks" from Turkey and some Indo-Europeans from Azerbaijan we will def have similarities with them, so will have many Europeans...

Our real, pure Armenian culture goes down a big time now. I have not much in common with what is defined as "Armenian culture" now days :that low class rabiz people and their subculture is not mine and most of the singers look like Moldavian Gypsies. We have 12.000 assimilated Gypsies now with Armenian identity. They have brought their culture into Armenian one and that is not exactly the source of happiness...

Btw, Dodi Gago,Nemec Rubo and Lfik Samo are like twin brothers of Moldovian Gypsies. I'd rather not call them part of my nation which they are def genetically not...

As to Azeri propaganda, 20 years we didn't pay attention to their propaganda until they opened their fake" Khojalu genocide" museums in other countries and now we are on the brink of another war...

P.S. Those who make propaganda are Azeris, Turks and Georgians but they use fake accounts and come across as "Americans,Europeans,Australians,etc and shape Armenians' image for foreigners. Russians state for example opened a department to encounter those who falsify their history, and genetic migration is a part of history.

What does Azerbaijan prepare?

European Friends of Armenia issued a press release on January 26. The letter says the organization is worried about Azerbaijan’s increased preparations for war.

Here is the text, which Times.am presents completely.

Recent signs of increased war preparations by Azerbaijan deeply worry European Friends of Armenia (www.eufoa.org) and require international attention. We have observed greatly intensified activities in three areas:

1. Increased lobbying and propaganda activities
2. Increasingly obstructive peace negotiation strategies coupled with public war threats
3. Increased military acquisitions

Numerous examples back up these points, some of which are listed below. The key question, however, is whether Europe is any better prepared than before the war between Georgia and Russia in 2008. “We do not know what will happen this year but while the war risk has never been so high, nobody seems to be prepared. President Aliyev says publicly that he is proud of his propaganda machine. It is important that politicians and media in Europe know who is dealing with them and who is trying to misuse them. Meanwhile, Armenian NGOs and governmental communicators should resist the temptation of following such propaganda tactics. We will never have more resources than Azerbaijan and our credibility is all that counts.”

The Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev praised his country’s propaganda in a remarkable speech delivered upon the occasion of receiving the “Journalists’ Friend Award” – an act described by Reporters Without Borders as “a bad joke”. The quotation given by his own state news agencies is worth reading: “Today I can say with confidence that we are winning the fight against Armenia and the Armenian lobby. [...] Azerbaijan is already engaged in offensive diplomacy. We have all the resources for this. Information warfare is our priority. We must make maximum use of modern potential in this area.”[1]
Beyond “information warfare” and war threats[2], we have received more worrying signs of war preparations Azerbaijani statements since the OSCE Astana summit suggest that Baku is trying to convince the world that these negotiations are leading nowhere. Meanwhile there have been more than 80 cease-fire violations, involving more than 500 shots onto Nagorno-Karabakh during the Christmas and New Year period and another 90 violations between 16-22 January[3]. Even official UN and OSCE sources show that Azerbaijan has been extensively buying new offensive military equipment[4]. Other sources reveal that Azerbaijan seems to have tried to strike a deal with Iran about logistic aid for military operations against Karabakh[5].

3. The EU should prepare and engage pro-actively within its own framework:
1. Condition all agreements within the ongoing Association Agreement negotiations to the strict non-use of force or threat of force.
2. Redouble efforts to promote a ceasefire consolidation agreement, removing the snipers and installing international observers along the line of contact.
3. EU Foreign Ministers to agree about concrete conflict prevention and crisis management steps for Nagorno-Karabakh.

it is Georgian and state paid, the real owner is Rezo Chegogidze, and we have seen a video with him meeting Prime Ministry to talk about internet activity of Georgians. if you watch his videos first they seem to be done by some ultra nationalist Armenian but then you will realise they are extremely against Armenia and Armenians and directed to stir fights between us and many nations, for example with Abkhazians...At the same time Georgian propaganda is using exactly race card with us. he has put up a picture of non white looking man and he goes on hundred channels per day and claims that "white Aryan Armenians" are better than others and that Armenia will take the world over...His channel and videos get enormous amount of hate comments addressed to Armenians. As you see while Armenians don't bother Georgians on a state level make anti-Armenian propaganda as if we are not whites...

Also ,Georgian state recently made program/video claiming all whites originate from Georgians...

Armenians prior to Islamic occupation were also quite prolific as a melting pot, assimilating subjugated non-Armenians living in lands that would some day become known as part and parcel of Armenia, but not until our church and our kings decreed them to be as such. And since most of this haplogroup business is encoded in us from migration periods from the pre-historic era, and not during the era where we started dancing around saying "We are Armenians, distinct from Assyrians and Iranians!", we quite naturally have similar genetics to people who come from those regions.

Where this similarity of genetics ends between us and neighbouring peoples has less to do with "being white", whatever that means, and more to do with more recent major human migrations that did not affect Armenians as a whole in ways that might've affected our neighbours. And even still, within the Armenian population, there can be dramatic differences between genetic profiles, Syunik and Karabagh Armenians being quite distinct from your average Western Armo Joe (or rather, Hovsep) due to the relative infrequency of travel through those mountainous regions.

I want to hammer this concept into your head, most of the land we call Armenia is situated at a major historic crossroads, and consequently experienced A LOT of warfare and trade on its lands. Merchants, soldiers and warlords from every era since such professions existed have all walked on our lands, and wherever they were stationed, the local population naturally interacted with them. We can't pinpoint the extent they did in every case, but what we do know is that for most Armenians, their genetics are not all that different from Anatolian or Azeri Turks, suggesting that this whole stock of people have pretty much been mixed already long before the world heard of the identities and flags we today cling to.

Again, you chiefly identify "culture" with blood, appearance. You've been hanging around SFers too long, they too likely have no idea what their ethnic culture is, other than something to flaunt on an internet forum amongst a community that will cheer them on, or that they must do "e-battle" against in order to "prove their whiteness", or in the case of people who have no trouble doing so (like Scots and Germans, and unlike Armenians and Turks), to prove that their "race" (which is merely the result of men and women from localized communities having sex together and then a king conquering all these communities and giving it a name like "Romania", "Armenia", "England", etc...) is just kickass anyway.
