When did I say anything about the above?
You asked me how i arrived to the conclusion that you didn't agree with:

abstinance usually signifies respect for ones body and future life partner.
And I said "I have no xxxxing idea." That was too long ago and I forgot why. Was that not ur question?

Of course a lot of what goes on inside Armenian society is there as a result of specific historical events - but that is not really a legitimate reason why these things should not be explored or commented upon by non-Armenians. And other cultures / societies / ethnic groups / nations have similar problems and dilemmas and tensions, I think. So we can learn from each other.

Otto, from at least one member here, you are welcome to make whatever comments you want wherever you want, providing that they have some value. Though maybe you should cool down your use of irony a bit.
Well, we have yet to live a century (or decade for that matter) where foreigners have not dictated the way we live. Call it what you want, its time we stop looking to other races and other examples as to how we should be...and its time we start looking within ourselves. As you may already know - I am strong believer that our society and values are in no way inferior to other cultures and we need not look to them for answers or suggestions.

PS: Unless of course we are in grave physical danger. Than the Russians can do that nuke thing their good at doing.

With all due respect, are you confused or are you trying to confuse. When you quote, can you please quote the proper sentence? Thanks. That was in a completely different post.
Also, I would like to hear your opinion about the change of roles that I have suggested. Thanks.

Are you answering to me?? Are you confusing me with someone else? I don't remember saying that!
I still don't see any dialogue.

P.S. For the record, bell-the-cat hay tche.
What if I find someone else when looking for you? My soul shivers as the idea invades my mind.

I was replying to this, as I thought this is what you wanted me to answer. Have we completly misunderstood each other?

            - There will be male prostitutes, instead of female
            - Male virginity will be enforced, but women may have pre-marital sex
            - Males who lose their virginity will be vilipended
-There are male prostitutes. All prostitution of any type is degrading.
-ENFORCING that (on a political level if thats what you mean) is wrong. This issue should never be involved with our judiciary system.
-Thats horrible. I always thought (in terms of this current issue) Armenian women were...more...I dunno...rightous? in being abstinant.

I still want an answer to:

so you think that a woman sexually devoting herself to one man her entire life is a good thing?

You can't live as an island unless you actually are an island. And no nation is like that these days, and no diaspora could ever be.
Everyone is going to have their own particular idea of what should comprise "our society and values" and how it should be perfected - but enforcing those ideals onto others are just going to create a lot of conflict and hurt a lot of people needlessly. And, I think, it alienates a lot of Armenians from feeling they belong to Armenian society. But I won't say anything more - there is some validity in your "you should leave this issue to us" point - maybe if you had said "mostly to us" I would have agreed with you.
              Plenipotentiary meow!
