Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

    Unfortunately RUDO it's not...

Do you think that we can TRUST "Turkish Government" once again ?

Do you think that we'll be able to send our children to schools where they teach them BS and brainwash them that their greatgrandfathers are treators and THEY DESERVED to be BUTCHERED ?

Do you think that we will be able to feel safe ?

Do you think that IT IS EVEN FAIR to BUY our FAMILY HOUSES which we have all the right to own ?

Do you think that we will be morally able to PAY TAX to Turkish Government so it make more denial DVDs and buy more immoral writeres ??

Do you think that it is FAIR to return to our land without PROPER DIGNIFICATION, and RECOGNITION OF CRIMES that were committed against us by the Turkish Government ?

My grandparents RUDO jan MARCHED out of their homes for months on feet & lost their entier families for genderme's knives & daggers ... Do you think that WE CAN EVER FORGET THAT ??

Armenians migration to Turkey today IS BEYOND REASON !!!
If I have to FORCE my children and their children TO REMEMBER that WE OWE TURKS JUSTICE, I'll do it...

Unfortunatly it seems the enmity between two nations will endure for a much longer period of time. Honestly speaking Turkey settling Diaspora Armenian to eastern Turkey is pretty unrealistic. In a land where people migrate to can not speak a common language with the majority(Turkish, Kurdish) would result in ethnical tension which we do not really need in Turkey. Not to point out people of eastern Turkey have been brainwashed against anything Armenian, they react to everything including Armenia-Armenians with an attitude near to violence. Maral would be wise not to trust to our people living there not our state...Anyway at this level I also doubt that people of Armenia or Diaspora would be able or want to settle to Turkey even if they are allowed to do so. Armenian people's claim on Turkish borders is errr... I dont know how to say this without hurting nationalistic feelings of people....let's say out of question.
Common-sensed would be able to see that Turkey's hold on its terittory is absolute and has power,willed-people to keep it.

I do not think Armenians moving back there is very realistic either. At this point, with the violence and poverty, I don't think anyone is really that happy or comfortable out east. I've said this a few times but I wish Armenians could fix up the old churches and were free and safe to visit their ancestral homes and one day open tourist related businesses. Both sides would benefit from this. I would also advocate opening the border, if not for the trade aspect, at least to let Armenians visit Ani.

As far as people's reactions out east to Armenians, in general the Kurds (the majority in most eastern areas) are very friendly towards Armenians. It's the police and military you have to worry about as an Armenian visiting the area. A group of folks from my church visited in the summer of 2001 and traveled extensively and had many positive experiences with the common folk.

On another topic, I would encourage everyone to rent "JOURNEY INTO THE SUN", a film by Günese Yoculuk.

It is one of those times that you are unreasonably angry.

It is an optional thing, and right now TUrkish government is in no position to offer such citizenships. I also think that at least symbolic such citizenships could be granted for certain Armenians. I dont think RUDO is asking you to be Turkish citizen and live in TUrkey. If you dont it's ok.

But at any rate, I would like you to come to Turkey and at least visit. We are hospitipal people, I am sure you will enjoy that visit.

If you go to Izmir, RUDO might take you to Kadife Kale for a tea.But sure after his University enterance exams finishes.

Yes people are not comfortable in east, you have the right of it.
To Armenians want to visit Ani, I would allow if it was in my hands. After all you resided there for a thousand years, you should be able to visit your thousand churches. Bussiness is good, bussiness is fine. If someone can persuade Armenia and Armenians the Turkish border is the "border"
I dont see why we should not open it.

If they had visited Istanbul, they would tell you about positive experiences also. But you must remember in middle-east guest and neighbour terms are very different. I know my people, be it Kurdish or Turkish...

Hmm I will download it if I can find it on e-mule, torrent sites....

Just to the opposite. 21st century will be a century of numbers. (China, Russia)
You are so confident, one will think that you have a very forward looking armament policy or large research funds or a large economy which is based on production.

yes most of Armenians waited 90 years so Turkey let us have picnics at Ani’s site, I personally waiting when the borders are open so I can go to Turkey to our historic lands to pick some flowers and also see where our entire race was about to vanish from the face of this planet, that would be enough for me.
