Turkey's is Ottoman Empire's son, though son is not father himself, you can not think of the child without the influence of the parent.
WRONG. It is NOT YOUR History!

It is the history of mankind. It is the history of humanity - or in this case INhumanity, and finally it is the history of every nation involved and affected. The Armenian Genocide is just as much France's History, Germany's History, Britain's History, Armenia's History, Syria's History, Egypt's History (etc. - I could go on but I think you get the point) as it is the OTTOMAN EMPIRE's HISTORY. Nobody retains exclusive ownership over the Armenian Genocide History except mankind.

Furthermore, please notice I didn't say "Turkey's History". You people are always saying how the Ottoman Empire and the Republic of Turkey are not the same gov't / nation / people / society so you can't be held responsible for Ottoman crimes. The fact of the matter is that TURKEY has no claim to the history of the Armenian Genocide. They only legacy you have to claim is 91 years (and counting) of cover-up, denial and state-sponsored brainwash - that is all yours - and I don't think anyone wishes to get involved in it.

All these above nations were involved or effected by the AG, and they all have the right to tell the story the way it was. Turkey, wasn't even a twinkle in Mustafa Kemal's eye when the world witnessed the Armenian Genocide, and therefore has no right to pretend like a witness.

So what you are saying is that the fact of the Jewish Holocaust shouldn't be protected, and the Nazi's shouldn't be condemned.

This must be exactly what you are saying... because France has the same law with regard to the Jewish Holocaust. Why didn't Turkey cancel the military contract when they passed the Jewish Holocaust denial law? Oh wait, here's the answer: Because as far as the morals of the law goes and how it affects countries other than Turkey, Turkey couldn't care less. Turkey only cares because IT is the guilty party in this case.

On the other hand, we should keep in mind that Hitlers Nazi bible "Mein Kampf" has recently been a best seller in Turkey.

Turkey is a state. Ofcourse it only cares about itself. Come on Hovik. You are much older than me...

It sold 40.000 . Besides there is nothing wrong with reading a book be it Tolkien's, be it Umberto Eco's, be it Adolf Hitler's.

Ofcourse all these countries took place in world war one and massacre of Armenians but as the people of the state that ruled those lands they hold us responsible which is okay since everyone has a right to have an opinion. But taking decisions of resolutions, jailing bills is simply not the right of any other country. I can not be judged because of what I believe or say. Simple and plain. A neo-nazi can deny holocaust. It is his belief and way of thinking. Noone will take them seriously but no problem.

As to Turkey, I have always said and always will say Ottoman Empire is our past. He is our father and we are his son. We are not the same but we are influenced by each other regardless. As to our legacy, we are here, strong. We have a past, we grow and we move on. Armenian issue is just another problem. Just because it is your life does not mean we can not have interests in other aspects of life.
