Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

First you complain about about the French allegedly promising you something and then not delivering on it.
Then you complain about them trying to deliver on it, but doing it for their own interests rather than your own interests - which rather contradicts your first complaint: if they really were just "fighting for the French imperial dream" rather than for Armenian freedom, why did the French not stay put?

And are you going to complain about Britain not sending enough forces into the Caucasus, and leaving too quickly, because they did not have any "imperial dream" for there at all?

You fail to give reasons why anyone in Britain, France or America would have thought that Armenia was worth the life of a single Briton, or Frenchman, or American. Yet a large number of Britons did die, and a very large number of Frenchmen - but all you can do is pour scorn on their sacrifice.

These are generalizations you make based on what if scenarios which most often dont materialize. Armenia has faced these scenarios before and we have experience in this field where we have made many huge mistakes but will hopefully not make them again. Remember the French who promised us freedom then left us to die? Armenia has learned her lessons we will not fall prey to false western illusions again only to be massacred because it was all a lie to begin with. I know better then most the value of independence and would like nothing better then for Armenia to be just that but the truth is Armenia cannot be independent now. If Russia looses her then the Turk will claim her and finish off the genocide once and for all. If you think otherwise you are either fooling yourself or simply you want Armenians dead and gone. Either way it is irrelevant what you want because Armenians have been here before and some of us learned from our mistakes. You dont go seeking independence when you cannot maintain it even if it was handed to you on a silver platter. Mher posted the conversation between senior US representatives on another thread http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CL_GShyGv3o it clearly shows USA as the imperial power behind the crap in Ukrain and it clearly shows that it is using the UN to do its bidding. It also shows that the USA cares not for the people of Ukrain nor of Europe and is after its own imperial ambitions. Now why the hell should Armenia trade one imperialist overlord for another especialy when that other has a tendency of leaving everything it touches far worst off then before it touched it..If mr Bell believes even half of the words he writes then he is naive, a very poor student of history but far more likely a malicious individual who has confessed many times his own hatred of Armenians and would like nothing better then to have the word Armenia erased from the map. It always amazes me that even when faced with irrefutable evidence like the video here, many Armenians still sheepishly wonder into the arms of the big bad wolf with smiles on their faces. Russia has provided what is left of our homeland with security for almost a century and during soviet times Armenia didnt just survive-it THRIVED in every sense of that word. Now idiots say F Russia and join the west but of course they have no clue what the west is-even those who live in the west dont have a clue what it is. If Armenia somehow does manage to be foolish enough to leave the Russian orbit again then it will be her last mistake. The western stooges couldn't care less about us and have demonstrated exactly that a million times but people with rose colored glasses dont think, they dont even see nor live in reality. If you think Russia is a bad imperialist then i guess you have forgotten The Turk and the genocide. If you think Armenia can be independent then let me run some numbers by you-we have probably 2 million people in Armenia and are surrounded by 100,000,000 Turks. You do the math. And if you think the west is going to protect you when all these Turks come to slit your throat and rape your daughter your and idiot. Oh but wait if your reading this you are probably not in Armenia are you..hmm so you have nothing to lose if this really does happen do you..hmm yes i see why so many Armenians jump on the western bandwagon now...pathetic!

This will end the dogma that the Soviet-era borders are somehow unalterable. In the past it was in Russia's interest to maintain that dogma, so it will be gone once Russia sees it is in its own interest to no longer follow it. That will have implications on the status of NK - it will suddenly be officially OK to change Soviet-era borders if those living there want it, and to get those changes recognised by Russia and the world.

Were you an avid listener of Radio Moscow in your childhood? Though even those Soviet-era propagandists would blush with embarasement at the outrageous productions from Putinesque Russia. I was watching an hour or so of RT "news" about Ukraine last night - it was so full of blatant propaganda it was almost comical. You leave with the impression that the average Russian-on-the-street must be a complete moron if this is what they believe.

These actions are consistant with previous USA policies which brought nothing but disaster and lots of dead people to many unfortunate countries and their people. This dying superpower is not going to go gracefully it seems so things will get far uglier i am afraid.
---- things will get far uglier -------
I regret (truly regret) that I agree with you on that.
Far uglier than the ordinary ever dreamed of.
    What a shame.
