You speak of a completly indulgent glutton for self-admiration. That goes far beyond narcissism. I never said I was an extremist.

Besides, there is a difference between righteous indignation that anyone could possibly not at all times think as highly of me as I do of myself and actually being offended. It offends my sensibility more than my person.

If you met your clone, would you have sex with it?

I wouldn't have sex with a male. If I met a female version of me, I'd still likely keep my distance. I'm an inconsiderate prick.

          What's a prick?

          as a noun that is.

Now lose, I understand this is what you see when you look in the mirror, and I understand that you esteem yourself immensely, but not everyone has the same reflection as you.

You would be amazed at how long it takes me to shower due to the wall-size mirror in there. I just can't look away.

The strong-willed manage to obtain benefit without bending one iota.

the objective is not to fit in, the objective is to gain benefit.
Great post, I agree wholeheartedly. Either end is not good, for it represents extremes. As I understand the entire purpose is to gain balance or as you have noted “to gain benefit”. Benefit surely cannot mean extremes of flexibility or rigidness, with those two forms it's unlikely one will gain any benefit. Thankfully I am a comfortable middle.

I am willing to bet I have gained far more benefit from people than have either of you, and I didn't have to give or compromise even the slightest. Call me manipulative, call me immoral, but what I do works.
