Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

I think this pathetic excuse has been used to death. Even if this woman walked around in her underwear it is no justification - especially an actual outfit!

Rape is illegal. Wearing a short skirt/dress is not. Could it possibly be that way for a reason??... People like this make me wish there was a Hell.

It's not a matter of whether it is illegal or not. It is a moral matter, whether or not individuals have a right to their life, property, and liberty, and most importantly the property of their bodies. In this example, the Saracen violated that right of the woman.
      Achkerov kute.

Yes, Teacher. You're so enlightening. I hope to be as morally conscious as you when I grow up.

Like you all said, everyone is responsible for his/her action.

yes i suppose then if a man rapes a woman then i have the uncontrollable urget to cut off his penis that is ok, because "like you said - if you want to protect yourself [i.e. your penis in this case] from such things then take your measure and be careful what "image" [action] you are generally showing [taking] about yourself to those around you or be prepared for the consequences [i.e. penis being cut off].

but you see how flawed the argument is... it is just as flawed to rape a woman and say "she looked like she wanted me to do it because of what she was wearing" -- and even if she was walking around NAKED! and drinking NAKED JUICE! that does NOT mean that a man can all of a sudden loose his ability to reason and rape her... that is pretty much the silliest and most immature reasoning on the face of this planet...

no there is no reason for me to "watch" what i am wearing... maybe we all should "watch" out for insane men who cannot control their penis...

                A couple of comments....

Of course everyone here is reflecting their cultural biases when they say this is acceptable and that is not acceptable and if you dress such a way etc - I mean look at our red Brigade here - he consideres himself a communist - but he reflects purely unenlightened fundementalist religious values. I find it facsinating how the Christian and Muslim (paternalistic based) religions hold such severe (slave like) attitudes towards women where in cultures such as India - with the Hindu heritage - the beauty of women has always been apreciated and sensuality has always been held in very high regard. Anyway - of course rape can never be justified - but this shows that not all peoples have truly realized the concepts of human rights where a woman is a human being - with full rights of realization of her life - and is not just property or some kind of secondary order creature. When I see a picture such as those 3 girls that was posted I say more power to them. Why should women not be allowed or be denigrated for wanting to have a good time - in whatever way they see fit? Why are wome held to a different standard then men? What can truly be thge rationale? Why is it we call a woman a s lut is she enjoys sex and if she wants to experince and enjoy many men (or even just to go out and drink and party and be losse or whatnot - flirt and have a good time - what can truly be wrong with this?) - when a man is not so stigmatized but is perhaps even looked up to for this sort of thing? And even if women chose to walk around naked (and obvioulsy according to the views of this Egyptian - and many not of the West - or even many fundies here - she essentially is naked if she is showing anything at all and attempting to look good - etc) - there is still no excuse for rape. Anyway - of course we cannot expect those in these other cultures to change overnight - though I find the persistence of these types of attitudes in Western countries very disturbing - it is another example of the Christian legacy that I think we can do without.

I totally agree with you. Of course, with the condition that the underwear should not be bought at the mall! Of course, just teasing you!
What amazes me most is that we - men - react in a far more irrational manner when a woman wears a mini skirt - specially when she pulls it up - than when she wears a bikini! As if it is the covered part that invades our imagination!

Hell exists even if you don't believe in it!
Hell is when one is oppressed! Hell is when one is raped!
Hell is also when our senses are aroused with forbidden promises and our desires teased but never satisfied.
Of course, the existence of "hell" should not justify religious fanatism!

What if I find someone else when looking for you? My soul shivers as the idea invades my mind.

same goes for bf's or gf's....just because he/she "looks good" or is "cuuute" doesn't mean you can have him/her

such a simple concept, yet barely understood and hardly enforced in society (generally speaking that is)!
